Familienresort Buchau Maurach am Achensee

Great Hotel for families. The rooms are big and very nicely decorated. The restaurant, food quality/selection as well as the service are outstanding. The Staff is very helpful and professional. The Spa is perfect for families as well as for adults seeking some quite rejuvenating time. We enjoyed walking tours in the surrounding mountains and lac. Our children enjoyed the ski school, which I personally did not like as the information exchange with parents about children performance and development is missing. We’ll definitely come back and recommend further.

I passed through the hotel on my way then I stopped there.
Requested a horse riding for 2 kids cost of the ride was 45 euros.
That was one of the best experiences I ever had.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming.

There are so many activities and facilities that you don’t need to go out of the hotel.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this kinderhotel. Our 3 year old and 9 year old both enjoyed the activities and the beautiful pool. The buffet food was great for selection and the sit down options for adults were excellent. We appreciated that wine was included in the price unlike some other Austrian kinderhotels we have stayed at. The property and lake were stunning.

Pricy but worth the money.
All of our needs with the kids were served here. Manny great details - like diapers free to use at the changing table near the dinner restaurant.

Only missing some more climate awareness. Eg. what happens with the vast amount of food that has been presented in the buffet - and where does the energy for the pool warming come from.

We just spent 12 days here with our 6, 4, and 2 yr olds....and really enjoyed it. They spoil you here with excellent food, drinks, and activities. The buffet was great everyday, and the more formal dinner options were really amazing (taste and presentation). There's always a meat, fish, and vegetarian option daily. You can literally eat from 7 am to 8 pm if you want 🐷.

The location was even more amazing in person. Our room had a beautiful view of the hotel grounds and lake (I think most rooms do). They use an innovative tablet system in the room for booking all of the activities, which was convenient (although it would have been nice to have all activities saved to your calendar, which didn't seem possible). The kids loved the kids club, and were always happy to go.

There's a pretty decent steam/sauna area, and I liked that they have an ice cold (spring fed) pool. The hotel was very popular during our stay and staff were pretty busy pampering everyone, so some were a bit "distant", but all in all a great team of people keeping a well-oiled machine running. Plenty of activities for kids and adults during the week, but if you stay longer, expect to see things repeated. Having said that, we would be happy to have stayed another week....no problem 😁.

This was not our first kinderhotel, and we have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

As a family of 4, we had a lovely stay at this hotel last week. Everything was great. We wanted to extend a special thank you to our waiter Mikey (or Gerry as my daughter liked to call him) who looked after us throughout the holiday. He was superb. We will be back.

Everything was great, just top.
Personnel is very friendly and professional.
The rooms are clean and very spaceous.
There is so much to do during the whole day and the program is well tailored for younger and older children.

The nature of Tirol is... Just hard to describe suh beauty and the best thing is the lake right in front of the hotel.

Perfect for a relaxing holiday with our 3 and 6 year olds. Delightful staff, great activities every day for just the kids or the whole family depending on if you want to be together or have some time alone. Great pool with slide, go karts, bikes to ride, ponies to ride, drinks food, all included! Family yoga and bikes to yes and zip lines. And a great playground all nestled on a beautiful late in the mountains. Fantastic holiday!

Spent a week there over Easter and can’t wait to come back next year. Just as much fun for the adults but epic excitement for the kids from morning Til night!

Absolutely everything a family could want in an all encompassing hotel. Located on the most beautiful lake in Europe surrounded by mountains. Drop kids off at kids club after breakfast where they have an all day rotating weekly program of horse riding, go carts, trampoline lessons, art & painting etc.. There's even a fun donut slide. I doubt anyone would regret a stay here.

Unbelievably good. The kids love it, giving us hassle free time on our own or with organized activities for the whole family together, no stress, no organizing ourselves, no cooking, or cleaning. Everyone just happy and in good moods. Thank you kinderhotel buchau!
