Seecamping Wimmer

Great campsite set in an unbelievably beautiful location near the shore of Achensee. The campsite has no direct beach access but it is just metres from the water and it takes less than 10 minutes on foot to reach a swimming point - to the left, the Atoll swimming pool, with lake access and a wonderful playground, or to the right there are various other bathing opportunities. You can walk or take the bus to a nearby cable car and go up the mountain, and in the summer Achensee has a programme of free activities for children.

The campsite itself is simple, but well done. The sanitary facilities are clean with decent showers. The staff are friendly and helpful. But the location is the best part - just staggering natural beauty. I've read some reviews that complain the campsite is close to a busy road - unfortunately in small valleys in the mountains, this is generally unavoidable. But the road isn't that busy or noisy in my opinion.

We loved this campsite and plan to visit again next summer.

Really nice camping place. Has all the amenities you can think of. All the staff speak English and are really nice. Closest supermarket is the gas station right in front of the entrance. Many treks begin just a few hundred meters away. Electric bikes available for rent. Fair prices.

they got all you need for a quick stopover or even a longer stay. But more big trees (for hugging and) shades would be awesome.

Very good place! Kind hungarian guys, helpful men and women around. You get an achensee card if you camp here, and then all the bus around lake achensee is totally free! (btw no ticket check on the bus).

1€/ 6min of shower that sucks, but everything else does worth it!

Nice service, clean facilities, greaaaaat view every morning (and during daytime). For people who came by public transport it is an awesome place because the supermarket and all kinds of holiday activities are in walking distance; such as hikes in the Rofan mountains and a day in a spa. You also get a discount cart for the area for the busses. :)

Perfect service, excellent owner / operator. The camp is quiet and the restrooms clean. The restaurant features super burgers and pizza. Beer is also excellent. I strongly recommend!

Great place, you can arrive till 10pm. Close to lake, spa and boat rental.

small but good, we stayed here for only one night and didnt really know about the area so didnt exploreut we will in 2018. The view is beautiful

Traumhafte Kulisse.
Wir waren Anfang September hier und morgens war die Bergkette komplett im Nebel gehüllt.
Der Campingplatz selbst hat alles was man braucht, wir haben nur mit dem Zelt übernachtet, man kann aber auch im Wohnwagen übernachten.

Schöner Campingplatz, toll gelegen am Achensee. Betreiber freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sanitär in unserer Zeit immer sauber. Wir waren das 2 mal dort und wieder mal nicht enttäuscht worden. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. 👍

Wunderschöner kleiner Campingplatz sehr gepflegt Besitzer sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Tolle Lage lange Radwege rund um den Achensee. Zum Rofan Gebirge geht eine Gondel rauf. Kann man schön wandern. Vom Campingplatz zur Gondel ca 30 min Gehweg.

Sehr schöner Campingplatz direkt am Achensee, der natürlich meeegaa toll ist. Der Betreiber super nett. Sanitäranlagen nicht vom neuesten aber sehr sauber. E-Bike's kann man hier vor Ort auf dem Campingplatz leihen, was wir getan haben um zur Gamaialm zu fahren. Die Rofanseilbahn ist auch schnell erreichbar, womit man dann zum Adlerhorst fahren kann. Der 45 minütige Aufstieg ist ja,..... etwas anstrengend, aber aller Mühe wert. Das Restaurant auf dem Campingplatz kann man auch weiterempfehlen. Alles in allem, waren es 4 wundervolle Tage am Achensee.

Przyjazny camping. Miła i pomocna obsługa. Znalazłem co trzeba. Infrastruktura nie do odświeżenia ale jest co trzeba. W samym kempingu mie ma miejsc do sportu czy rekreacji za to tuż po sąsiedzku mamy aquapart i tereny rekreacyjne. Minusem jest lokalna droga, dość głośna. Świetna baza wypadowa w tresy górskie.
