Hotel Platzer

A really friendly hotel with fantastic balconies over the river. Food was very good quality and a good menu. Great location just a couple of Ks from the motorway. The town is worth a look round and there is a Porsche museum.

Charming hotel, very close to the highway. Very friendly reception. Big rooms with terrace, overlooking the garden and the rivers. Also great view on the surrounding mountains. The garden gives access to the river. Good bar / restaurant, not expensive. Child friendly, there's a small playground. Free private parking.

Best pizza in Gmünd!

The restaurant was recommended by a local and I am happy I followed her advice. Very friendly staff and the pizza was delicious.

If you are really hungry I advice to take the pizza with 5 toppings to own choice. The toppings are applied plenty and my human belly was very happy.

Also the outside garden just outside town and near the river makes for a good experience.

The genuinely warm and welcoming host made this place special from the moment we walked in. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking a stream and a picturesque church. Food and wine were superb. After the battlefields of Venice, this was heaven.

Highly recommended hotel with good price to value. Owners are very friendly and helpful, staff is great, food is delicious. Katchberg ski region is ~20 minutes by car. It was 4 years ago when we visited Hotel Platzer first time, since then we spend our ski holiday in this hotel.

Gmünd is a small jewelry box in Carinthia, you must visit it :)

Great location, very close to the town centre. The owners are always friendly and helpful, the food is perfect and has always been. I very much recommend staying here or eating here.

Value for money. Nice old hotel with really friendly service. Restaurant also had good food. Pillows were not the best, but comfy beds.

Great place looking out on a nice River! We needed a place to sleep for one night, driving on the a10, and this place was nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. Surroundings look great.

Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Balkon und wunderschöner Aussicht auf den Bach. Essen war sehr gut. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Komme gerne wieder!

Sehr Gastfreundliches Hotel wir waren schon mehrmals hier und immer alles super. Mit Kindern sehr viele tolle Ausflugsziele. Kann dieses Hotel nur bestens weiter empfehlen.

Sehr, sehr gute Küche! Das Wildgericht mit Spargeln war köstlich! Selten so gutes Wildfleisch im Restaurant gegessen. Der Spargel war on Point, Soße super lecker. Der Nachtisch -Palatschinken- schön angerichtet und super lecker! Sehr gerne wieder!
