Nice place to visit. I will try again next autumn, when trees are colorful.

Amazing view of the Donau... Best is if you park on top and walk to the view point... You can then decide to hike all the way down to the Marina, have a beer or coffee and come back... The way up is bit rough but manageable for most people..

Fantastic spot offering an unparalleled view over the "Schlögener Schlinge". A big plus is that it is only a 20-30 mins hike from the parking lot. Another plus: lots of information is offered about the history of the place and the area around. Secret tip: unsure whether the view is crystal clear today? Check out the webcam before traveling there. Just Google "webcam Schlögen Donauschlinge". It looks beautiful right now ;)

One of the greatest views I have ever seen in my whole life 😊 I cycled there next to the Danube river, and it was really majestic through the whole trip

The picture shows that it's an amazing view even in bad weather! It's a steep 30 minute woodland climb up to the viewpoint but well worth it to see this unique meander in the Danube caused by the geology. Signs along the path describe the forest flora and fauna - a good opportunity to catch your breath.

Spectacular panorama of a natural deep valley S-bend in the Danube river, where the river bends some 200° into the granite undercore. From the limited free parking places at the top is an idyllic forest trail which invites a mere 10 minutes stroll to the 1st view point, and 2 mins further down to the purpose-built floating platform for the ultimate panoramic view! Drive lower to the river's edge and park for free at the Parkplatz Römerbad to see the original Roman bathhouse, and peruse the menu of adjacent restaurant. A holistic uplift awaits...

Such a stunning view. A steep hike up which takes <30 minutes which is well worth the hour round trip.

Very nice view and it is not hard to be reached
