Unfortunately the Trappist will be closing this brewery in the near future. Make sure to visit and PLEASE stop by the church to pay your respect and marvel at the most hidden jem of Baroque architecture in the valley.

What a location. A magnificent baroque Abbey church of the Trappist tradition situated along the banks of the Danube.

Such a beautiful historical place and they serve their homemade beer, which is delicious.

Lovely Chapel and good little shop at the side to buy various goods. Home made honey, lavender, liqueurs plus a few other things.

The monastery is still operated by Trappist monks. The church is a splendid baroque building with a richly furnished interior. On the ceiling, frescoes by the famous Bartolomeo Altomonte are combined with a modern replacement (remarkably well echoing the hues of the old paintings) for the unsavalbe part over the nave. Don't forget to have a look at the choir stalls. - If you are a fan of beers in the Trappist style: here is an opportunity to get their typical range of beers.

Truly a beautiful place. Well organized. The beer and cheese made by them is excellent. The Church is stunning.

Very pretty building from the outside. I didn't go in because we were on an evening walk and it was probably closed.
