Panoramarestaurant zur Festung Hohensalzburg

I think the food (sausage + beef goulash) was just normal, but the view and the ambience of the area was incredible. Good to eat here especially after the walk up to the fortress + going around.

This restaurant was my most favourite experience in all of Salzburg!
This was mainly due to the excellent service I received from the staff, especially from Mayar, Burcin and Mouaz.

Their recommendations were fantastic,
Their customer service was superb,
And to top it off they made me feel very welcome and answered my many questions about the food/drinks and even the castle and surrounding area.

I am so glad I took the time to come visit this restaurant and I most definitely will be recommending this place to all my family and friends

I was afraid that this was some kind of tourist trap, but the food surprised me! The food was delicious and the service was pretty fast even though they were busy. I think the restaurant is worth a visit if you want to enjoy an authentic Austrian dish with a nice panoramic view!

Had zero expectations on food because I came here for the view. It turns out it pretty decent. The service. I think I came a bit too early yet they still manage to get me food so I'm going to say Very friendly staff.

We didn't eat here, but I want to say something about the service. We rode the funicular to the fort because we thought we could exit the funicular and take a walk in the ridgetop park. The exit from the funicular was only into the courtyard of the fort. We didn't have tickets, and we couldn't figure out how to leave. The only person I could find to ask was the owner of the Panorama restaurant. Like everyone else, he was very busy. Even so, he took the time to help us. He came outside the restaurant where he could point and explain in detail how we could descend from inside the fort to the trail. He was so kind and helpful that I want to say, "thank you."

Alena was absolutely fantastic! She made a great evening even better with her charm and humor. I would love to return again just to have her cheerful smile again! Service was outstanding and sunset view with dinner along the castle wall is an experience not to miss!

A beautiful biergarten located in Schloss Hohensalzberg showcasing a magnificent view of the entire city! Would recommend if you're interested in authentic German cuisine and having a relaxed time with friends :)

What an incredibly surprising day. The Salt Factory Cafe was absolutely breath taking! The views are extraordinary and unforgettable!! We, as a group of 7 spent several hours there. The staff is patient and does not seem overwhelmed, which I feel happens a lot in Europe. Alina, not sure spelling, is a very charming, funny and efficient waitress! If you are lucky enough to be in her station you will be in for a delightful treat! Bravo!! Great day!!

Amazing views and good music. We enjoyed our drinks after touring the fort. The desserts looks absolutely delish. Alina was a super friendly server and made our visit extra special. Be sure to stop here when visiting the fort.

Ok, I came especially to the castle from Munich and i wanted to thank Alina for the best service. She was so kind and smiled at me since I first saw her !!!! All along the sitting she asked me and my friend if everything is ok and she was the best. I want to come again to this restaurant just because of Alina. Alina I want to thank you so much and say it was lovely to get to know you! :) I very recommend this place. Good drinks and great food. And the view and the prices are the best.

Stopped in at sunset for a drink and had a wonderful time. We had a great time talking with Attila, our waiter. Definitely recommend if you’re going to the fortress!

I really can't comment on the food that much as we only tried one dish - the Nockerl. That one dish, however, was amazing. It's actually worth stopping in just for that!

Good food, great views, nice wait staff. We went during the winter so it was a little less crowded (which probably helped)
