Visiting here for my partners birthday last week and it was fantastic evening. We were visiting Salzburg for the week and personally, this was the best place we ate the whole week.

We left it a little late to go out to dinner and were worried we wouldn’t find anywhere to eat as most of the other restaurants had already closed there kitchen. The kitchen here was open until 10pm and we turned up at around 9:20/30 and were still able to have a great evening.

The staff were super friendly and attentive from the minute we go there and helpful with explaining the menu and understanding what we wanted.

It’s a very cosy restaurant in the Old Town and the food was amazing! We had a drink and both had a main & dessert and the bill only came to €54 which was amazing.

Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Salzburg to visit!

I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Austrian food. Fantastic and yummy food. Very friendly service. Must have the Kasnocken and the mixed salad that comes with it. Appfelstrudel comes fresh and warm with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream making it a wonderful dessert. Food here is the best Austrian food I’ve ever had.

Lovely place in a side alley of Salzburg. The food is very traditional and delicious. We had the super soft spinach dumplings with salad. The service was very friendly and overall we had a good lunch date in a cozy environment.

It was packed when we came in on a Saturday without a reservation. But the staff quickly found us a table and we were able to dine in. Great atmosphere, classic Austrian restaurant with a good selection of dishes. The portions were substantial and the wine excellent.

By far the kindest service I received during my whole trip to Salzburg. The staff were so friendly and joked around which is always something I enjoy when out by myself. When I arrived there was a few spaces available to sit but towards the end of my meal there was a good few people that had to be told there was a wait due to how quick the place filled up - so a reservation may be necessary if you’re coming on a weekend or busy time.
My first time trying goulash and I have to say it was incredible here!! As was the Stiegr beer. It’s a nice traditional Austrian but also rustic style interior. To top it off, we were even visited by Saint Nicholas and Krampus’.
Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

If you love locals, this is usually absolute place. Great food, music, jovial workers...the prices are reasonable. I recommend the place!

Absolutely fantastic authentic Austrian cuisine. Our server (can't remember his name, he was from The Balkans) was so helpful explaining the menu. The Goulash with Traditional Dumpling was amazing as well as the Mystery Dumpling entree. The cheese Spätzle was so incredible. Highly recommended and it is a must if you visit Salzburg!

Amazing dinner:) staff couldn’t possibly be friendlier and after 3 years living in Austria this was easily my favourite frittatensuppe ever. We were a big group and we were well received and the staff went over their way to help us and make us feeling comfortable after a wine spilling accident. Amazing food and best service in town.

We've found this place "by accident" already last year and we went *straight back* to it this year. It's a really great place in all regards: The food's great, the service is fast and responsive, the athmosphere inside is super cosy and a mix of authentic and modern. Outside it's a beautiful beergarden!
Foodwise I recommend everything meat. I have to say that the salads are a bit "green leaf" heavy, which is not my kind of taste for a salad; I'm missing a bit more other ingredients.
The desert though kills it: The Kaiserschmarrn is the best I've eaten in a long, long time! When they put it infront of you, you already get the buttersmell into your nose: GET IT!! :)

Easy 5*!

Really good tasting authentic food and also lighting fast food delivery and service.

The place is kid friendly and a good kid selection. They have baby chairs and changing facilities

The Kasernodel(cheese dumpling) soup was outstanding. But the highlight was the Kaiserschmarrn.

They have a nice, traditional decorum. They have upstairs seating.

The institution deserves attention even being a passageway. The food is not just delicious, but you can swallow your tongue. And you can give a Michelin star for an apple strudel. The waiter is helpful and helped with the selection. Dinner will be remembered for a long time.

Very nice place with good food and service. We came there without a reservation, but waiters were very kind and offered us a table for an hour which was more than enough. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Were lucky to get a table here on Christmas Night, because most restaurants were closed. We and our little dog were welcomed and the service was fantastic and we were given so much attention. The food was great and it was a fun experience for our brother that was visiting Germany for the first time from the US.

Hiding from the rain, we happened to stumble upon this cozy restaurant, there were quite a few reserved tables, but luck was on our side to enjoy a cup of tea and the famous Austrian strudel. The girls who served, although slightly distracted, "flew like ambulances". Extremely cozy and pleasant place.
