The food here was delicious! So we’re the lattes, the juice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good vibes and energy here. Very nice location and good seating arrangements. Would go back for sure!

Went twice, for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast we got excellent americano 100% arabica coffee and cappuccino probably one the best in town with oat milk, very good vegan apple cake not too sweet and very balanced with cinnamon with vegan cream and vegan chocko topping. We came back for lunch and we got a nice mix salads we asked to add some seasonal fruit and nuts and staff were very kind they added oranges berries and raisins on top of a very fresh gourmet mix green salads, sprouts and aromatic herbs. They also provide very good vinegars, Himalayan salt and different oils, I enjoyed the pumpking seeds beside the olive oil (a must for me as Italian). Bread multigrain was organic and very rich and good baked. The vegan curry was very indian style tasty and not over spicy (I am not fan of extra spicy) well cooked basmati rice. We also tasted a alchool free drink I never heard before called Poska, made in Austria is made out of vinegar, grape juice and spices according to an old roman recipe. Staff very friendly even if it was busy they found time to sing happy birthday song for a young girl when they brought her the cake. They told me that they meditate before cooking and serving my yhis is the reason. I think is important to offer conscious food experience. There was also a statue of their meditation teacher. To be noted a market corner with good quality supplements, superfood and rare incences. Finally restrooms were super clean.

This is a special place. One of my favourites in Salzburg- loads of vegan options and deserts too.

You can feel a warmth from the first moment you enter. The people working here are so welcoming and helpful - especially the 2 ladies wearing Indian clothes 💗
I visited 3 times and will definitely come again to try more goodness and enjoy the wonderful vibe of this place.
The homemade curry is absolute comfort food and good portion. The salad very balanced and not too heavy. Porridge was excellent and the mushroom coffee one of he best I had ever!
If you are hungry, do not order eggs on toast - they are a small meal with tiny bread (see picture)

They also do meditation sessions here, what a gem!

I had their goat cheese tomato sandwich on gluten free bread and my partner had their heart of joy vegan sandwich. We also tried their soups and everything was 5/5. Beware of the wasps if you sit outside, they’re pretty distracting and aggressive (they didn’t bite but would not leave us and our meals alone). Definitely recommend this place. Feel good, wholesome meals and friendly staff. Also be aware that this is a cash only establishment but there’s an ATM nearby

Lovely restaurant with all vegetarian or vegan dishes. Both warm dishes and salads. I had a falafel salad and my husband the daily quiche with rice and salad. I had a hot ginger drink and he had a heart shaped shortbread cookie dipped in chocolate.
Service was quick. *Cash only*
Videos, books, statue and sayings of an Indian guru whose name I did not write down.
Hours were until 7pm in the week and until 8:30pm on weekends.
No need to reserve.

Very welcoming and nice place with a huge variety of breakfast options:)
The only drawback (probably because of Sunday morning) is that it was a bit too loudly and full inside🙈
Certainly recommend visiting, just try to avoid the most „popular“ hours 😊

Very attentive service. Amazing healthy cuisine. Very friendly server and very warm and welcoming environment. We got cappuccinos, French toast breakfast, an omelette and porridge. It was all great and we could tell the food was very very fresh without artificial flavors or additives. Amazing!

I had a quick bite to eat before heading to the train station and I liked it so much that I put it into my “Favorite Place to go” folder for my next visit.

I’ll share more details below but to sum it up, it's a fully vegetarian cafe offering a huge variety of vegan and gluten-free options. This cafe is not just a place to eat delicious food but also a place to practice conscious living.

🔥What's Special? Ever wanted to try out meditation? 🧘‍♀ Learn more about it? Or join a class? Ask the team and they will share happily more information.

🌍Sustainability. They focus on organic and regional ingredients as well as fair trade products.

🏡: They have a very nice outdoor seating area as well as large indoor space. During the hot summer days, you may enjoy sitting inside. And if you are lucky, you can get a spot near the fan.

🥗The cafe is fully vegetarian but offers lots of vegan and gluten-free options. Also, the food they serve is free of white sugar or and additives such as glutamate (health risks).

My favorite options include:

🥣Breakfast: Porridge with different flavors

🥙Lunch/Snack:
Red lentil soup (small or large) - Vegan (V) / Gluten-Free (GF)
Lentils with rice and salad - V/GF
Curry of the day - V/GF
Falafel Wrap - V
Heart of Joy Salad with falafel or tofu - V/GF

🧁Sweet: A variety of cakes, such as
Spelt apple cake - V - with Birkengold
Carrot almond cake - GF
Raw chocolate/ cashew cake - V/GF

💶I paid 5.30 Euro for my small lentil soup (delicious) 3.90 Euro for a decaf cappuccino with oat milk (ok) and 4.80 Euro for the apple/spelt cake (yummy). Sounds reasonable to me.
I haven’t tried it yet but looking at the breakfast options with oatmeal (porridge), they seem pricey for what you get, especially the Vedic Breakfast (1 cold-pressed juice, organic tea and porridge with fruit for 17.40 Euro). The other two porridge dishes are 9.40 Euro and 11.40 Euro… after all oats and seasonal fruit are not expensive. (I do eat a lot of oatmeal at home)

⏰Daily at 8 am - 7 pm, Fri/Sat/Sun until 8.30 pm

💳They only accepted cash. On the website it says its a temporary measure.

💻They sockets available where you can charge your device.

First stop in Salzburg and my happiness meter was filled to the brim by this vegetarian/vegan cafe! This place is a gem for sure. We got two soups and both were so soul-warming. The croutons they come with are full of umami! The chai latte with oat milk was wonderful and didn’t have added sugar like most places. The staff also radiated welcoming vibes. It wasn’t even a busy time (2pm) but it was filled with people having a good time! Loved the Indian guru dedication too. Hopefully can come back for breakfast/dinner at some point!

Simple, but good and healthy food in a nice location. The salad was def okay but maybe a bit overpriced, but the lentil soup was one of the best ever. Would recommend and come back!

The Heart of Joy is an island of peace and love, when in Salzburg, you shouldn't miss it.

A nice choice of food and drinks for breakfast or lunch, all healthy. The service is super friendly with nice smiles.
The meal was savoury and delightful, big portions.

The decorations are harmonious, with the statue and Jharna Kala paintings of Peace Advocate Sri Chinmoy.

It's a highly recommended vegan /vegetarian restaurant and cafe in the centre of Salzburg.

I'm grateful to the people creating and maintaining this unique place.

It is vegetarian restaurant with plenty of vegan dishes, incl. breakfast, lunch and desserts options. We ordered soup of the day - intense in taste, but very tasty soup made of wild garlic, falafel wrap that came with a salad (very big portion!), fresh juice and coffee ☕ there’s a lot of space to sit inside and nice outdoor garden. The place is inspired by meditation and spirituality 🧘🏻‍♀ it’s located on the way from train station to the old town

We went to the restaurant that is almost full house, despite being busy attending to everyone, the lady waiteress was warm and joyful in services. Food is excellent, with good balance of vegetarian and vegan food. We finished everything. Kudos to the team, highly recommended.

Appropriately named, this wonderful restaurant makes me so happy! The Heart of Joy salad is delicious. The smoked tofu option is exceptional. Gluten-free options aplenty and vegan-friendly. Dynamite desserts! Highly recommend with no hesitation.
