Andräkirche Salzburg

I think this is an interesting church. The jesus portrayal and the cross were different than the churches I have visited. This is not considered as a tourist location but you can just visit.

Unassuming church across from Mirabell Schloss that is a local working church for the community with mass, confession and other activities. They welcome newcomers and visitors whether confirmed or not. I went to the St Stephens Day mass and was welcomed wholly and received a blessing instead of communion as I am not confirmed yet.

Attended morning Mass here. Very simple and spiritual. Didn't expect there to be organ accompaniment for the mass. He was quite good.

St. Andrew’s Church (the “Andräkirche”) on Mirabellplatz, with its striking towers, places its own distinctive stamp on the skyline of the right side of the historic district. Its sacred spaces also host the original “Salzburger Advent”.
The original St. Andrew’s Church used to stand on the Platzl, but ultimately had to be demolished to make way for a wider road. The new Andräkirche was built in Neo Gothic style on Mirabellplatz and was formally consecrated in 1898.

Salzburg is my Best city of Europe. All the sights in this city have their charm. Its historycal city and St. Andrew Parish Curch have greate place in the centre

Außen schaut die St. Andrä Kirche relativ pompös aus, innen ist sie aber recht schlicht gestaltet. Wirkt aber auch innen sehr groß.

Wunderschönes Adventkonzert.Perfekt gestaltet, tolle Sänger Musikanten und Schauspieler.
Bei diesem Rahmen kommt wirklich Weihnachtsstimmung auf.Wir waren ganz ergriffen. Danke für die wirklich tolle Darbietung
