This restaurant is very good! The food is great, offering a delightful dining experience. Service is friendly and quick, and its a pleasant visit every time. They serve a good Pilsener, perfect for beer lovers. Plus, the seating is comfortable, adding to the overall excellent atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Went to the restaurant only per a friend's recommendation and it was 100% worth it.
Everything we had was stellar. The beef broth with dumplings was so tasty I could eat it everyday - warm, rich, and flavorful without being salty as is so common in soups.
I also tried the guinea fowl, schnitzel, and ravioli, all of which were cooked to perfection and delicious. 10 out of 10 would go again. A little pricy, but worth it.

Also a great option if you're a wine person!

It was a little more fancy than I expected, so I could have dressed up a bit more.

Had our wedding dinner there and it was simply amazing. Starting with a delicious Crèmant we enjoyed our pre-arranged 4-course dinner to the fullest. Everything was prepared perfectly on point and accompanied by a selection of corresponding Austrian wines. Finished the evening with great spirits which were elegantly poured by our head waiter.
Overall, the experience was great. Cosy atmosphere and ambitious service staff make this a great restaurant. Highly recommended!

The ingredients of a lovely dinner are: delicious food, super friendly service and nice atmosphere. This place had all of it.

Cracking restaurant. We had a delicious meal here, which I thoroughly enjoyed start to finish. Our waiter was really helpful and attentive too. I don’t like to pick out dishes in reviews, but the sweetbreads were a real highlight. Soft with a crispy exterior and gorgeous flavour - yum.

I’m surprised at some of the other reviews to be honest because it doesn’t even vaguely accord with my experience.

Service is exceptional. Rooms were great. Breakfast was really good too. Location was fantastic. You are at the base of where you can take a lift up to the modern art museum and get my favorite view of the city.

Fabulous hotel with thoughtful, modern rooms, pleasant hotel atmosphere, and an incredibly kind staff at the front desk and restaurant. If you head there for breakfast, be sure to try their homemade mustard, which was the best mustard I've had in my entire life.

We loved our stay in this hotel. It’s a small hotel with friendly helpful staff. The rooms were generous in size with clean modern finishes. The location was central and we loved the breakfast. Not too many options but everything at the buffet was of high quality and the eggs were cooked to order.

One of the best, if not THE best hotel in town. I am from Salzburg but have stayed at the hotel for my honeymoon. So where should I start? The team is super friendly, the interior is very tasteful, and the food is delicious. The Wiener Schnitzel and the Liver are particularly good! We stayed in a suite, which was super spacious and stylish. The Blaue Gans is a place where locals also like to hang out and meet, which is something I look for when travelling to other cities. The hotel has a very nice outdoor area, which is particularly nice in the summer but I hear that they are also planning to vamp it up for the winter season (with fire-places, blankets etc.) so we can enjoy aerosol-free socialising. Good job Blaue Gans team!

An art hotel that lives up to the description. Our room was good, separate bath and toilet area and roomy main room area. Huge closet for clothes. New fit-out. All working well with few complaints if any. Good WiFi.
Lobby area is not very lounge-y but restaurant (also breakfast) area is great and well-run. Food is competent and fresh, but I expected something slightly more creative in an art hotel (could just be what we selected).
Breakfast is continental with eggs done your way to order (can get repetitive over a few days) however, staff were very helpful and friendly. Good coffee. There is a street cafe (for the warmer months) at the rear. All in all a great, creative and contemporary hotel in an excellent position. Would stay there again.

Pricier the some other places, but we'll worth it in my opinion.

Nice hotel right on the main shopping street in the old side of Salzburg. You can walk to everything from here. We had a very large room with one big bed and a small bed. Bathroom was large and there was lots of closet space. Hotel staff were very nice and attentive. It's a unique hotel that has a lot of charm. Would recommend and stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights at the Blaue Gans after a ski holiday with friends. What a super hotel - no it’s not cheap but it’s absolutely worth the cost. Super staff, great rooms with lots of character and space (we had a medium room) and a location impossible to beat. We ate in the restaurant on the first night - also didn’t disappoint and the lovely staff at reception pointed us in the direction of a great place on night 2. Great breakfast too. Really recommend it in all counts - for sure we will be back.

We liked the hotel pretty much. Ideally localed in the heart of the old city, close to all the main attractions. Every bedroom is different and you will find art at all floors. The reception and breakfast service was very friendly. Definitly worth to try. We didn't used the restaurant. Please note that the welcome gift on the bed (the candies, see picture) isnt from the Hôtel, gift from friends.

Great dinner here! My misnamed had the bolied beef- an Austrian specialty! He loved it, and I had a taste and Also thought it was over good. We had some delicious pinot noir. I had the roast beef which was really a steak or was tasty and I had it prepared medium rare and it came out perfectly. I also had the chestnut soup which was amazing! We didn't have a reservation, and we're lucky to get table. Would 100% visit again!

Wonderful! This is our 2nd white lines hotel and we love it. The layout is perfect, the staff are amazing, helpful and super friendly! It's fantastic location with a short walking distance to the major attractions of the city. The breakfast is superb!

The staff was so professional and very nice, the food was astonishing it was perfect.
The place is very elegant and cosy.

Perfectly situated boutique hotel for exploring old town Salzburg. Rooms are quirky and smallish, but nicely decorated and sufficient. Staff was lovely, and breakfast was delicious.
