Burgruine Kirchschlag

A lovely walk up, not crazy safe for very small children (we took the shorter, more adventurous one which is not too long on the other hand). The castle ruin seems tended to and has toilets as well as an exposition. A very nice trip for sure, interesting even for smaller children.

A place definitely worth of a visit. Not a lot to see, but the whole atmosphere and especially the view are just fantastic. The way is maybe not so well suited for elderly persons, but some for sure will make it. Parking is available at the foot of the hill from the side of Franz-Joseph Denkmal (Gasthof Post), it's free.

Beautiful, already warm in february, the light around 3-4 pm was amazing!

Ruins of the castle, quite empty inside - but you can see a nice panorama of the area from one of the towers, plus it's a cool place for pictures

Nice place to visit because it is free to enter into the ruins. Suitable to go with children. The climb up isn't very long. Quite steep but doable. Breathtaking views from up there, especially from the high tower which has a good staircase going up. Have fun!

Very nice place to visit any time of year. Beautiful views of the village and surrounding landscape from the top. Admission is free and there are donation slips available if you wish to help maintain the castle.
I suggest bringing your own water as there are no fountains and use wc before you go because the wc there is not well maintained.

A place worth visiting!

Steep but very short climb, little museum with history and photos, partially restored, great views, clean bathrooms, all free! Fantastic!

Festői várrom Kőszegtől 15 percnyire. A vár alatt a városban több parkoló is van, ahonnan 5-15 perces túrával fel lehet jutni, illetve lehetőség van autóval is felmenni a falu vége felől szinte a bejáratig. Ha tehetjük inkább másszunk fel a meredek ösvényen megéri. Túracipő ajánlott.
Belépő nincs, díjmentesen be lehet járni az egész várat. Van egy terem, ahol képeken végig lehet nézni a bő 50 éve zajló felújítási folyamatot. A különálló toronyból belátni a környéket.
Először szinte érthetetlen miert "rom", annyira jó allapotúnak tűnik, ahigy áthaladunk a főkapun. A belső várudvarra érve kapunk magyarázatot erre, az évszázadok alatt itt csak a külső falak maradtak.
Van rövid összefoglaló a történetéről németül, magyarul és angolul.
Egy rövid sétával összekötve remek 2-3 órás program, ha erre járunk.

Folyamatos felújítás alatt álló, egyre szebb állapotba kerülő vár-rom. A felújítás menetét és a vár rövid történetét bemutató kiállítás is található, valamint több rajzon a vár teljes rekonstrukciója. Jelenleg ingyenes, de sok helyen egy ilyen jó állapotú hely megtekintése már csak térítés mellett lehet, így az ingyenesség ne tévesszen meg senkit. Van épített mosdó is. A két zászlóval ellátott toronyba fel lehet menni, a környékről is nagyszerű kilátás nyílik. A különálló lakótorony is megtekinthető, a meredek lezárt út mellett van egy lankás megközelítése is. Edzőcipő ajánlott. A megközelítés nem akadálymentesített, de kisgyerek számára sem megeröltető. A városban sok, jól kijelölt parkoló van. A városból a legrövidebb megközelítés a strand melletti ösvényen (ki van táblázva). Körülbelül egy órás program, de abszolút megéri, ajánlom!

Veľmi pekné turistické miesto. Ruiny sa neustále renovuju, je tu aj výstava kresieb o renovačnych prácach. Prekrásna scenéria. Oplatí sa to navštíviť.

Eine Burgruine die man gesehen haben muss. Wenn man auf den Turm geht, hat man eine super schöne Aussicht über das Burgenland.

Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!
Parkplätze sind genug vorhanden. Ich bin den Tut gut Weg gegangen. Der Weg ist ziemlich steil.
Nicht zu empfehlen für ältere od. Gehbehinderte Personen.
Eintritt ist freie Spende.
Die Aussicht über Kirchschlag ist wunderschön.
Schade finde ich, daß manche Menschen meinen, sie müssten ihren Abfall in den alten Brunnen werfen.
Ansonsten eine wunderschöne Ruine.

War überrascht, wie gewaltig und schön die Anlage ist! Eine wirkliche Überraschung! Der Weihnachtsmarkt hier muß ein Traum sein!

Kirchschlag település fölé magasodik ez a viszonylag jó állapotban lévő vár-rom. A városkából több út vezet fel a várba, melyek meredekek, es jól karbantartottak. A kiindulópontokon nagyobb parkolók vannak. A vár maga ingyen(!) látogatható, és ez nem azt jelenti ,hogy egy lepukkant rom, hanem jól karbantartott falak és belső területek találhatók a várban. A kilátás nagyon kellemes, több irányba is találunk bástyát, tornyot. Jó kis kiránduló-program, mely vegén maga Kirchschlag is megér egy kis sétát.
