Hotel Sonnenalm Stuhleck

Liked - Literally a diamond in the rough finding this place. Everything about it was exceptional and the staff went above and beyond our expectations. Yes it is a true ski in / ski out hotel so no issues there. Not that many rooms in the hotel (believe 15 total) and yes they are small which is why we (party of 2) got the family sized one to accommodate for all of our luggage and ski gear. Ski rental place is right at the bottom of the hotel and you buy lift tickets literally 20 meters from the hotel and the hotel has a dedicated area for everyones' ski equipment. So it is a one stop shop when it comes to skiiing. And disregard all the previous comments about the only food being pizza - new management and the food was phenomenal. Breakfast buffet was small but good variety as well as taste and the dinners we ate were superb - very large portions and cooked perfectly. And to top it all off, Nicola picked us up and dropped us off at the train station a couple kilometers up the road. Room was clean and beds were comfy. We've done quite a bit of traveling in the world but if you come to Stuhleck to ski this is the place to stay.

Not really a Dislike but if you are looking for wild night life or a party scene you wont get that here (we werent looking for it) and it really caters to families or those couples there primarily to focus on skiiing. Also there are some reviews talking about an outside pool - theirs is covered up but downstairs in the hotel is a hot tub and sauna (we didnt use either)

This is a wonderful place ! Excellent staff, they will do everything for your convenience - you can rest assured. Very beautiful, clean, and most importantly new hotel! Everything is thought out to the smallest detail, there is also a charger for the car, which was very nice, and also free. Delicious, beautiful, plentiful breakfast, which was included in the price. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, not a very extensive menu, but very, very tasty! We ate pizza and spaghetti, perfect!👌👌👌 There is also a pool with very warm water, which was surprising, since it was cool outside. What can I say, this is the perfect place for a weekend with the family, and we will definitely be back! It is clear that the owner loves his hotel 🩷 And the manager does everything for the comfort of the guests so that they are happy!

We were greeted with excellent food, drinks and service.
All common areas as well as rooms were clean and tidy.

Special thanks to the staff members! They were very nice and held the event (and all related difficulties) in a professional manner.
They left nothing, but great impression of the Gasthaus.

Excellent hotel, newly renovated rooms, comfortable facilities. Perfect for relaxing in the nature in the summer and directly on the slopes in the winter. Also the (heated) pool is amazing! And there is also a jacuzzi and sauna. Highly recommended! Easy to reach from Vienna (1h), and Stefan (owner of the hotel) is a super funny and nice guys :)

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. It's conveniently situated right next to the ski hire shop and you can see the slopes from the veranda. The room was cosy and had everything we needed in it. Zdenek the receptionist/ bar man was brilliant, very friendly and super helpful. Overall I can highly recommend this place. Oh and let's not forget the pizzas, yum!

We had a good time in the hotel. The management was very helpful and flexible, the rooms are well equipped, spacy and clean. Our favourite was the bathroom, it is brand new with quality taps, tubs and tiles. To our taste the bed mattresses were too soft, but that is a subjective question. Breakfast was nice, an OK variety and it's good to have coffee and tea always available. Dinner options are a bit limited, but the pizzas are good as well as the cesar salad. The pasta's however would need a new recipe, the bolognese was a bit tasteless and overcooked. Last, I would recommend to replace Warsteiner from the tap as any local beers are far better than this. Overall, a positive experience.

I had a great weekend experience with friends at this hotel. The owner Stefan was very accommodating and fun to be around, the rooms very cozy and the pizza they served first class. Will be coming again next year!

Wir waren zum Metal-Festival 2023 das erste Mal zu Gast. Und wenn wir für nächstes Jahr Zimmer kriegen auf jeden Fall wieder. Tolle Lage 10 Minuten bis zur Bühne. Das Personal(zwei Damen) immer freundlich und gut Gelaunt. Top Zimmer .
