Alpenland St. Johann

Best Hotel Ever.
Located in the middle of St. Johan.
It has: Pretty big swimming pool, very well equipped gym, Ping Pong table, restaurant....you name it.
Breakfast are delicious and are a MUST on a skiing holiday.
The hotel offers rides to the skiing resort Alpendorf.
Staff is kind and the rooms are very clean. I suppose the whole hotel had a renovation a few years prior, and it is beautiful.

ABSOLUTELY stay here! Fantastic property for sure! The services are great and the location is perfect! Most importantly, a hotel is only a building without the staff. Sarah and her team made us feel like VIP the entire stay! It is incredibly obvious that she is a wonderful manager because every staff member we met was happy, helpful and incredibly genuine. It felt like being around family. The pool, gym and spa area is massive and fully equipped with everything. The half board is a great value if you want to keep it simple for you and your family. Daniel and his staff at the restaurant are amazing as well!! You can feel his love for his work and as with Sarah, very obviously a great manager because his staff is top notch!! You have a lot of options in the area but I am certain this is the best one if you appreciate an entire team of great people doing everything they can to ensure you enjoy yourselves and relax whilst on holiday!! We stayed in summer and the area is breathtaking with some really cool local hikes. There is an adventure park where you can climb through the canopies on cables within a short walk and is free to the public.

A town-centre hotel but with plenty of trees and birdsong round about. Well-run and comfortable, it has great facilities including an 18m indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath, well-equipped gym and decent table-tennis table (free bat/ball hire but bring your own if you're good!).

The rooms were neat and clean, and the beds were the most comfortable we've ever experienced in a hotel. Plenty of wardrobe hanging space, though we could have done with a couple of drawers for undies, and the ground level safe wasn't exactly convenient! There is a small fridge and the hotel were happy to provide a kettle and mugs to enable our early-morning cuppa.

We originally booked room only, but having researched the area and discovered there weren't many other restaurants, we took advantage of the half-board option. We were delighted to have made this choice - the food was excellent - of good quality, well presented and plentiful. The breakfast buffet varied from day to day but always had good basic choices, with a good range of hot and cold buffet items, breads and pastries. The 4-course evening meal was excellent every day and all diners seemed constantly happy with what was served.

We would have no hesitation in returning to this lovely hotel.

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel, once in the summer and this time in the winter. It is a wonderful hotel and its location is near a small market and they have all services available.

We went there for 15 successive years. The town is beautiful, the hotel is super comfortable and welcoming, the staff are adorable and the food is great.

I stayed there last month. The hotel staff was professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel interior was tasteful, the bed was very comfortable, everything was very clean. The hotel is actively renovating rooms which is great. The gym was well equipped, spa area was relaxing. I was amazed by food, I went half-board and I am glad I did because the quality of the food was like at the top restaurants. I was pleased that there were a lot of healthy choices for breakfast. I am grateful that the hotel restaurant was always willing to provide a dairy free dish for me. Overall the stay was unforgettable! I highly recommend this hotel located right in the centre of St Johann im Pongau.

The service is lovely. Everyone is very kind and welcoming. There's a lot to do and enjoy right in the hotel, from bars and restaurants to hot tubs and spas. Really great rooms, enjoyed the spa and the breakfast is fabulous! The location is nice as well if skiing in the area, and a few dinner good ski spots at that (I don't recommend Snow Space).

My experience was superb.I was with family,we got two interconnected room.The rooms were big size ,comfortable and I room was with kitchen which was the best part of the room because I have my own choice of food being vegetarian.
All other facilities were good like restaurant,pool and gym.The best was reception,check-in and check out was smooth and staff was always ready to help.

We regularly visit the Alpenland, because we love the high standard of room and comfort at the hotel. Our recent visit was no exception,

I stayed at Alpenland in February for a ski break It was a perfect location for alpendorf ski resort there is a shuttle from the hotel €15 each way or you can walk 5 min to the free ski bus in the town. The hotel bus is much quicker.
The staff are so helpful and friendly nothing was a problem.
We stayed on a half board stay. The food for breakfast and dinner was amazing with a buffet two night's there was an Austrian theme one night and Italian on another night.
The hotel is very familiar oriented with play room for small kids and a pool room for older kids/adults.

Been coming here for 30 years. Never disappointed. Mr. Robert, hotel Manager is a wonderful person, he is all about the guests! Makes you feel very welcomed.

Nice hotel and wonderful staff. My husband, my 4 year daughter and 5 month old son just stayed here for a week and it was a very pleasant stay! The food is good for breakfast and for dinner and the waiters are really nice and accommodating! My daughter loved the pool and kids play room! And the hotel is very central and located very close to all the skiing areas!! Definitely recommend this place!

The location, the friendliness and helpfulness of Sarah and the other ladies at the reception desk, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, the food and the spa were top notch. . We stayed six nights and enjoyed every minute of it. I highly recommended if you want to spend an active yet relaxing week at Alpenland.

This is our first time in Austria and the place is wonderful. Its very clean. Its design is well thought-out and modern with a good mix of tradition. The beds are comfortable ahd the kitchen is well equipped.
We have eaten at the restaurant several times and the food is
amazing. The chef really know how to eleavate a meal giving it depth. We love thecl favorites. We will be back!

We spent one week and celebrated Christmas at Alpendorf. Even if the family rooms were a bit old they compensated with their service. This would be the second time for me at this hotel and it’s always good service, everyone is very profesional. The ladies at reception are always prompt and kind, frau Adriana from the bar very friendly, all the waiters at their restaurant, everyone was very nice and did their best to accommodate all their guests. The Christmas dinner was a feast, 5* restaurant. The spa zone is also a big plus also. Can’t wait to return to Alpendorf!

Stayed a week, room was great, pool and fitness area was amazing. Right in downtown area and the shopping is just a walking distance. I felt very comfortable during my stay and the staff was also amazing. Thank you so much for all your help.

Had a wonderful time over Easter here. Hotel is wonderful. Great location to enjoy various walks. Excellent food and lovely staff. Will definitely visit again!

What a beautiful area this hotel in which this hotel is located. The staff have been wonderful! They even found me a rubber mat because I found the shower a bit slippery. The food is good and everyone helpful even though we don't speak German.
