Hotel Gasthof Schorn

Wonderful location. Well appointed room. Great pretrip communication. Top notch decor and equipment (lift, etc.). Professional looking kitchen. Very comfortable bed. Excellent food and wait staff. Glad we chose to stay here.

My boyfriend and I stopped here for a dinner, the food was amazing and our desserts were very nicely decorated. My boyfriend got “heiße Liebe” which tasted even better after all of the jokes with an amazing man that was our server this evening. Such a beautiful place with the sweet people :)

This is one of the most clean hotels I ever stay, the hotel is an ancient building but super clean and the interior atmosphere has been kept as old days. The rooms are huge and the beds are comfy. No doubt a five stars rating!

A wonderful place to stay when visiting Salzburg or surrounding area, especially if you want to avoid the city noise. Very comfortable rooms, extremely clean, great and helpful staff, tasty food. And as a bonus, guests can have a very nice sunrise view on the Untersberg. Everything was perfect! We will for sure return any time we will be in the area back again.

This has to be the best hotel we have ever stayed.
The staff are welcoming and generous very helpful and made us feel so comfortable at all times.
The hotel is very clean and beautiful inside we feel so sad to leave today.

I think I could fairly call Gasthof Schorn a hidden gem. In 2021 we had multiple flight cancellations & re-books, the last re-book was on short notice so everything was sold out in Berchtesgaden. I found this hotel only 12 miles away. It fit the criteria & would have to do. Surprise, it was the best thing to happen. So much so that we made it a destination in 2022 for 2 nights. A bit remote but worth it. The view from balcony breathtaking. Reasonably convenient to Salzburg & Berchtesgaden (by car), and away from the hustle. Absolutely beautiful rooms with lots of woods & quality, actually comfortable furniture. Fridge in our room. No air conditioning. Has elevator. Large rooms. Abundant free parking. Excellent traditional breakfast, nothing lacking, with very good coffee. It is part buffet & part table service (for coffee & anything else you need). Beautiful outdoor seating area. It has a genuine touch of class - white tablecloths, etc. We were 3 weeks this trip in Germany/Austria, involving 17 hotels, and I would rate this as one of the 3 best. That says a lot since I always look for the best hotels. (the memory will be there long after the price is forgotten). If you're on a budget this hotel is also reasonably priced for the area with included breakfast & parking.

For their restaurant, absolutely amazing! I would give them 5 stars for tasty dishes and good service!

Easily accommodated a large group of tourists when we showed up out of nowhere for lunch. Good food served very quickly, tasted good. The desserts and I've cream we're wonderful. Very reasonably priced.

We went for a late lunch. The service was exceptional and very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious as was the beer. The local seasonal lunch menu was really fresh and well made. Highly recommend eating here.

Very nice hotel near the base of the mountain. I usually enjoy staying in the Guest House for a more modern feel.

Staff was helpful and polite, my room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious.
