Wellenhof Bodensee

The staff is as nice as the view, and the view is amazing.

Food was also great.
Especially the Gulasch

I would rate the Wellenhof Bodensee higher than 5 stars if I could!

We were in town for the World Kickboxing and Karate Union, World Championships in Bregenz this October. We had a last minute hotel change for four of the families, mine included, and we were assigned the Wellenhof.

The Wellenhof is a quaint little hotel with 16 rooms, it has unusual room layouts by North American standards, but this just adds to the ambiance!

The restaurant is fantastic, we had several dinners there, with parties of 30+ people. The food was fantastic, and the service was really fast. When I say the meals were fantastic, how often can you go for dinner with over 30 people and EVERYONE enjoyed their meal?!

Then there’s the staff, in particular Janine. We originally assumed Janine was the owner because of the way she took care of us, we honestly felt like she was welcoming us into her home. Everything she did for us was done with a big smile, and her laugh is contagious.

We eventually did meet the actual owner, Oskar, and it is evident the pride he takes in his hotel, and his city. He went above and beyond making us feel special during our weeks stay.

Thanks to all of you at the Wellenhof for making our stay in Bregenz a truly memorable one!

Very clean room and Hotel. We had nice cosy room with cool view. Breakfast was tasty, food was fresh, restaurant is very nice. Staff and over very friendly, helpful and polite. I can recommend!!!

I‘ve been in many Hotels. This might not be the most fanciest place nor is it a luxury place. You get a clean room with a very comfortable bed at a very good price, breakfast included.

Lovely place, owner is charming. No air conditioning, but we expected that. Very kind staff.

Nice hotel

Wir waren gestern 29.05.24 im Wellenhof essen. Wir hatten nicht reserviert und bekamen Dank der Chefin noch einen Platz.
Ich muss sagen, alles Top.
Personal sehr freundlich, eine außerordentliche gute Küche.
Danke daß wir so bewirtet wurden.
Top Adresse. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Wir waren zum Essen hier und es war wirklich lecker! :-)
Ich war zuletzt als Kind vor 14 Jahren in Österreich und habe mich erinnert das ich damals jeden Abend Backhendl gegessen habe, für mich war es dementsprechend ein Muss, ein Restaurant zu besuchen in dem es Backhendl gibt und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht!
Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut und das Personal total freundlich. Man hat sich dort direkt wohl gefühlt.
Wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen es auch definitiv weiter.

Für uns war es am 01.04.2024 leider nur ein Zwischenstop, wir waren aber dennoch sehr positiv überrascht. Ja, es ist nicht das modernste Hotel, aber mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Super Service, ein super Frühstücksbuffett mit einer Dame die einem fast jeden Wunsch erfüllte. Alles funktionierte tadellos. Der Tip zum Abendessen in den Brauereigasthof Reiner zu gehen (Partnerbetrieb) war top. Sehr leckeres Essen in einem schönen Ambiente mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Dank beiden Betrieben bleibt uns der Bodensee sehr positiv in Gedanken.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit wirklich wirklich sehr leckerem Essen! Preis Leistung stimmt absolut und auch die Kellnerin war sehr sehr sympathisch! Ich komme gerne wieder! Absolut zu empfehlen!! :)

Genau wie beschrieben und erwartet.
Es ist ein kleines Hotel mit seinem eigenen Charm.
Kein Neubau. Der Fußboden knarzt.
Badezimmer ging bei uns gerade so hinsichtlich der Größe.
Unsere Tochter hatte ein Doppelzimmer zur Einzelnutzung. Das Badezimmer dort war schon sehr klein.
Sauberkeit war sehr gut.
Frühstucksbuffet war ohne Bratwürstchen und ohne Rührei.
Hätte man aber eventuell bestellen können. Hab ich nicht ausprobiert.

Die Aussicht auf den See und die Stadt Bregenz war sehr schön. Zimmer mit Seeblick. Leider war der Blick Richtung Lindau verbaut.
Vom Hotel zum Bahnhof waren ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg.
Genau so schnell kommt man von dort nach Lindau. Die S-Bahn war preislich deutlich günstiger als der Regionalzug.

Aus meiner Sicht ist das Hotel für einen Aufenthalt zu empfehlen.
