Amazing place with excellent service and delicious traditional food. The ambience is nice designed with different areas for seating. For kids there is a spacious garden area with a small playground on the backside as well. Mostly visited by locals I would recommend a reservation especially during weekends. Will surely come back again on my next trip to Ebensee!

Absolutely magical place! Service is excellent, waiters are professional, enjoying their jobs and exceptionally well mannered. Food was great and very fairly priced, beer and wine also very tasty, self-made cakes were great too, especially Cardinal one - sooo good! The atmosphere is incredible - many locals, kids running around and playing together, a random cat passing a path. Very peaceful, if we could we would've spent the whole night there just sitting and chatting.

Very good Austrian comfort food in a beautiful traditional setting. In summer, you are sitting in the cool courtyard underneath the old tree, and in winter inside one of their cosy rooms. It can get a bit busy on weekends, so reserve ahead.

Gorgeous garden setting perfect for photos! The service was friendly, very nice waiter. The interior very cute. We went for late lunch & had their specialty. The pork was cooked perfectly & best dumplings I’ve had.
Reasonable prices. Would be great for a function or special occasion too.

Great place. The restaurant is a converted farmhouse. Dogs and cats play outside, and the inside is just darn tootin beautiful. The food is really excellent.

The hotel next door is also quite nice. Unlike many places with old history, this hotel was built from scratch. But unlike many places built from the ground up, it does not have a nasty modern feel that doesn't fit into the Salzkammergut. This place is great.

The Mostschenke has a great ambiance if you want to experience a really nice combination of traditional Austrian and modern style. It isn't just a restaurant but also features a stylish bar. As the food and drinks are just above average, the ambiance is what you should have experienced at least only once. (Spend your Friday and/or Saturday nights here once in a while)
