Best place in town by far. The staff is just out of this world. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Really worth it and the house wine is really recommended. The atmosphere and ambient was super cozy. Peter and all the staff was lovely, they even knew Spanish. Something really unique of this place is the charisma of everyone since you put a foot in. Two thumbs up.

This was the most delicious dinner I’ve ever had! Excellent texture, so flavourful and beautifully plated. I’m devastated we found this on our last day in Austria, I would have wanted to try many more items off the menu. The prices being so affordable is an added bonus. We had the teriyaki duck breast, lachsforelle (salmon) with risotto, pepper steak and jaga pfandl (deer), and the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend all of these. The staff is incredibly kind and polite, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy.

Oh my word! This place has great reviews for a reason. We would have gone here our entire stay, but they were closed one of the days. It was so good and authentic with the amazing service you would expect. (I would suggest the diablo pizza and the trout. The only thing that could be better is trout pizza!)

We visited this restaurant twice this week. Both days were excellent. Very tasteful. The service was good and friendly. Salad, pasta, cordon blue, steak, deserts, all high quality and very nice! The second time we visited I had the Pasta al Aglio with shrimps.... Never did I eat a better pasta than this dish. It was out of this world, so good. I would like to have the recipe to see if I can duplicate this one back home..... (@Chef Almer Bauernkasten, could you please provide me with the recipe?)

We ate here twice last week. It was delicious, both meat and fish, as well as the pizzas. The people are very friendly and also very nice to the children. And as they say (but certainly do) Kindness is free. If we come back to Maria Alm, we for sure will visit Almer Bauernkasten again.

It's fairly to say this is a restaurant that knows what it takes. Friendly staff, amazing food (for a good price) and a warm and cozy setting. If you got the time, it's worth the drive.

Enjoyed it a lot. Fairly typical menu and regional cuisine with charming traditional interior and atmosphere. Big tables good for families and baby high chair for the little ones. No kids menu that we saw. Hungarian bilingual staff was a bonus!
