Incredible place. We had some confusion with a booking elsewhere in town, and the folks at Das Onkel Fritz had a room available for us, and only took a few minutes to get it set up. Prices were reasonable, breakfast was fantastic, rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. What else could you need? We stayed in the big suite, which is a queen-sized bed plus a single bed in a separate room (plus a two-person sized infrared sauna in the room!). They offered a room to let your ski boots dry, and heated towel racks in the bathroom helped our shirts and gloves dry after a long day of skiing. Lastly, the nice gentleman at the front spoke wonderful English, which I sincerely appreciated (as my German is 'less than.'), and made us feel very welcome. Thanks for a great time!

Das onkel Fritz is a cosy hotel, runned by friendly people. Our room was spacious, practical and very clean, with a nice mountain view. On top of that, breakfast was excellent. It's a lovely place to stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Great location, the owners are super nice, rooms are spacious and clean.
The best thing is their breakfast.
We will always come back and. 100% recommend.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The rooms were very nice and spacious and our room even had a Sauna in it.
It is a nice and small hotel with a gorgeous view of Stuhleck when eating breakfast.
Definitely recommend coming here for a smaller & quieter hotel when on a ski trip.

We chose this place basically just because we needed a bad on our trip thru Austria, we expected nothing extra.
But we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff was very nice, helpful and great to talk to.
Breakfast was just something else. The amuse bouche one-bite platters actually gave us some hard time as we were not the only ones at the hotel and we struggled hard so as not to wipe it ouy completely.
Dinner menu was short but very, very good, for very fair prices. On top of that, every meal came with an herb flower (you shoud see the herb garden, I do confess, I stole a leaf of this and that a few times).
The room itself was very nice, although the toilet needs a fan desperately and there should be a proper door in the bathroom. There is no fridge, which we would've appreciated a lot to have some cool drinks on our hikes.
All in all, the building has its age but it is very clean, and taken care of.
I was going to give it four stars because it has some small negatives too but what the hell, the attitude of the staff (owners?) made me give it five. Just don't expect a luxurious five star hotel because it is not one. Just a very pleasant family hotel. And do you really want anything else?

Been there in Jan 2020, sadly didn't have the chance to revisit for the 5th time this year. Hopefully I will next year.

You can stay in a romantic room and the kitchen is yummy, yummy.

Семейный отель, где все так по домашнему. Хозяин отеля встречает гостей на ресепшене, а хозяйка готовит завтраки. Мы как будто вернулись в детство, к бабушки в деревню. На постеле лежит книжечка на ночь и пару конфеток. Это так мило, тепло и уютно. Когда еще раз поедем в те края кататься на лыжах, обязательно там остановимся.

Kedves kiszolgálás, tiszta szobák. Nagyon finom reggeli. Remek kilátás a sipályára.

Zimmer kann ich nicht beurteilen,hab ich nicht gesehen.
Aber da das ganze Haus sehr ansprechend ist,nehm ich das mal von den Zimmern auch an
Frühstück wunderbar,bis ins kleinste Detail,das Personal (Eigentümer)sehr bemüht,einfach ein toller Ort um sich zurückzuziehen, wir waren nur zum frühstücken dort,aber jederzeit wieder auch als hotelgast...

Ein einzigartiges Frühstück, sehr hübsche Zimmer, ein wundervoller Saunabereich und unglaublich herzliche Besitzer!
Wir haben eine Nacht während unserer Radtour von Wien nach Graz im Hotel das Onkel Fritz verbracht und wir hätten uns kein besseres Hotel wünschen können. Der Hotel ist mit vielen kleinen Details eingerichtet und das Frühstück war das absolute Highlight. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Příjemné ubytování se vším, co je standardně potřeba. Velmi milí majitele, ochotni a vstřícní. Skvělé a bohaté snídaně, kde najdete vše, na co si vzpomenete. Penzion je na hezkém místě s výhledem na městečko a okolní kopce a lesy. Určitě doporučuji.

Wat een fantastisch comfort-hotel of zoals men het zelf noemt 'het kleinste romantische Geniesshotel'. We hebben er 14 dagen vakantie gevierd en zijn door de eigenaren Peter en Edith geweldig verwend. Men presenteert een ontbijtbuffet zoals we niet eerder gezien hebben.
Vanuit het hotel hebben we de Semmering wandelroute gelopen langs de Unesco-Semmeringbahn met prachtige uitzichten vanuit de bergen op de vele viaducten. De tunnels zie je uiteraard niet, maar overal duikt de spoorlijn weer in het landschap op.

Zufällig auf dieses kleine Hotel gestoßen und froh darüber.
Warum? "Das Onkel Fritz" ist ein kleines, feines Hotel mit sehr gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Ich hatte eine Suite im ersten Stock, die sehr schön ist. Das Frühstück war aber der Hammer - so liebevoll hergerichtet und so gut. Hier gibt es alles was das Herz begehrt. Die Besitzer sind auch recht freundlich und geben wertvolle Ausflugstipps, die man unbedingt befolgen sollte. Gerne wieder

Vřele doporučuji toto ubytování. Budete se zde cítit jako doma, panuje tu rodinná atmosféra. Majitelé jsou velmi milí a laskaví. Uchvátí Vás výhled z balkónu na sjezdovky. Především musím vyzdvihnout snídaně, které jsou opravdu rozmanité. Děkujeme za krásný pobyt! ❤

Dem Frühstück kann keiner das Wasser reichen. Einfach wunderbar, liebevoll und richtige gute Qualität der Produkte. Die Zimmer sind schön groß und gemütlich, aber man sollte nicht die modernste Einrichtung erwarten.
