Food was great and atmosphere is nice. The service was a bit slow because the place was fully packed and there were a few folks manning the entire place.

Great restaurant and really delicious food! Very friendly service and nice views from windows, too. Prices are not expensive.

This restaurant has a magnificent view, you can see the ocean and big cruise ships from a very beautiful points. Interior decoration is harmonized with the theme very well, all the details are tastefully created. It feels like a theater stage. And the food, we had rice with seafood in a casserole, full of flavors, very well-cooked mixed seafood in it. We also had plato Marino, it includes some kind of a cold salad-like plate including 3 baby octopus, many mussels (10 maybe), onions and tomatoes seasoned with lots of lemon juice. Other side of this plate had big chunks of fried haddock fish, fried jumbo shrimps and fried potatoes. All the seafood was so fresh and tasty.

What a cool spot! Overlooking the bay and above the prison museum. The service was lovely and although we didn't have the dessert...it looked amazing. Great spot to stop in for a quick mid day bite...especially since many other places close between lunch and dinner. This is a good spot for a 4 pm snack/ coffee/dessert.

Incredible food experience. Food is top quality and staff is extremely nice. They might take a little to take the order but in exchange they will serve it almost immediately. Seafood here is awesome!!!

Very good customer service! I enjoyed a local beer and a nice steak with potatoes. The music a bit loud and too modern for such taberna. I would play Argentinian music instead and lower the volume as well. There is a nice view and it gets packed quickly, so go early!

I am not fun of any sea food, but I was enjoying my crab with shrimps. Very fast service, good quality food, delicious, Attentive staff. Recommended

I used to think theme restaurants and those with this type of statues and historical imagery pretty much chose photo-op over good food or decent prices.
Viejo Lobo really surprised me.

First, restaurant hours in much of Argentina are tricky; eat before 3 or wait until 8 or 9pm. This place was open at 6pm. They seated us quickly and the beverages and food were brought far quicker than I expected. We have two young kids and their food came out first, which was perfect, because they tend to eat slowly. Our food wasn't much later, and it was good, quite good.
Fresh fruit juices are an option, kiddos got banana and lemonade, hubby got strawberry.
My chicken was tender and juicy (sorry, I ate some before I remembered to take a picture) and the pumpkin soup was amazing, rich and hearty with incredible flavor.
Price wise I was again surprised. A family of four, with three beverages, four meals, and three desserts was around $50 U.S.

Downstairs is a huge gift shop with lots of items referring to the penal colony that used to be here in Ushuaia. We looked around then were encouraged to see and take pictures in the back patio, which is set up with more manequins and scenes from the penal colony, an ice/penguin area and more. Lots of great scenes to take photos (this is just a sample) and the employees are so kind and welcoming.

I can’t comment on all the food, only the Goulash, but for me it was really nice.

Visited and ate it 3 times.

Each visit the staff were friendly, and the place had a cosy vibe.

There’s also a nice view over the sea.

One thing that’s odd is that to get to the restaurant you have to enter a store and the take the elevator up a couple floors. Easy enough though :)

Food was great. I've ordered seafood with rice and it was one of the best seafood I've had. I like the theming of the place too.

Fun experience, the seafood platter was good (amazing cheese) find time to walk around the gift shop. There is also a small museum for the prison but we did not have to view it.

Its so good, it reminds me of my little town called Appleville Georgia. I wish I could’ve spent more time here but oh well

Very nice. I think they pressed an extra zero on my bill, that I didn't notice, but still pleasant enough. Not many locals..

Good place for lunch, big portions

Touristic but great food choices. Try the crab soup!
