Wow. God was present! What a bizarre, fun, kooky, outrageous, hilarious and serious place 😅

The attention to detail is amazing here. The costumes I was totally impressed with. The quality of the installs, statues, buildings and trees is actually really high!

We went on Easter weekend so they had a live show which was phenomenally done, acted amazingly well and super graphic 😅😂

All in all a unique and great experience 🙌🏼💖

Amazing place to visit for a couple of hours. The 18ft accenting Christ is a must see if you. If you are a fan of the mighty gemstones this place is for you.

Such a fun experience. Better than I expected. My wife and I watched the shows, walked and viewed scenes, and had lunch.

Tickets cost us $20 US.

Tierra Santa is a religious theme park in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was opened in 2001 over a land measuring about 18 acres, as a replica of Jerusalem of Christ period. It is claimed to be the world's first religious theme park. It is a large reproduction where visitors can walk the streets of Biblical Jerusalem, living step by step scenes from the life of Jesus as described in the Bible. It is a miniature holy city, complete with fake palm trees, centurions, Hebrew Templs, Roman Palace and even a Wailing Wall. Cultures represented include Christians, Jews, and Romans. It takes visitors through 37 of the most important events in the bible: from the creation of Adam and Eve and the birth of Jesus to his crucifixion and resurrection. Even the streets are designed to mimic the pebbled stones of Jerusalem, flanked by plastic castles, temples, sheep, donkeys and camels.
But the main attraction is the Holy Mount, where thousands gather every hour to watch a giant Jesus Christ statue rising into the sky to the sound of Handel's Messiah. A 13 metres (40 ft) Jesus rises from behind a rock every hour, a solemn religious experience for many visitors, but also provoking derision on the Internet as kitschy. The park also includes statues of several 20th century historical figures such as Pope John Paul II, Gandhi and Mother Teresa, according to park staff were included because they were historic figures who "fought for peace" and that the park also wanted to pay tribute to them.
Some emotional visitors can be seen crying as they walk through a display of massive crucifixes before coming to a waxwork of Jesus on the cross, surrounded by his kneeling worshipers.
It even had the blessing of the Argentinian Pope Francis, who came to visit in 2008 when he was Archbishop of Buenos Aires (He became Pope in 2013 and is current Pope). It now had nearly ten million people through its doors.
Its ticket is 200 Peso (10 US$) and it is open only from the afternoon of Friday, till Sunday night.

Detailed place. I think this is the only place of it's kind or one of two. A religous theme park that depicts Jerusalem...very cool place

A very interesting and artistic experience. For English speakers, there is an overall guidebook and map in English. The audio of the shows is in Spanish, but we got a lot out of it as English speakers because of the visual presentatiobn. There are a lot of signs at exhibits that you can translate and enjoy with your phone, so don't let language stop you. We visited three hours and saw most of the highlights in that time but five hours would be better.
This is a worthwhile experience for non-Christians who want to understand the Jesus story, and even has some respectful exhibits on Islam and Judaism. We found it immersive and helped imagine being in ancient Jerusalem.
Enjoy with the proper expectation that this is a theme experience with a mix of live performance and animatronics, and a positive/uplifting message, and not rollercoasters or a preachy message.
The park also has a fair priced variety of food.
We plan to go back and see more.

A beautiful theme park centered around the history of Jerusalem and the many religious symbols that such city entails. It honors the Christian, Jewish and Muslim religious and it's amazingly kept and organized. There are free guided tours with very knowledgeable guides that are always kind and willing to answer questions.
It has great restaurants on premises as well as small artisan shops and kids activities.
I particularly enjoyed the Stations of the Cross and the animated shows including the Nativity Scene, Last Supper and the Resurrection.
Definitely worth a visit. It was amazing!

This is a specific attraction, maybe not touristy, but rather just family friendly. Its a religious theme park, so please bare that in mind. That aside, we enjoyed our 4 hours wandering around very much. Totally worth coming up here, even if you're not a fan of religion.

You have to go to this place. You will never ever experience the like again. It's all here from a 60ft plastic Jesus who arises every hour on the hour to animatronics that will have you screaming with delight. As an atheist and admirer of tourists attractions I cannot overstate the fun you will have here. From the planes flying very low overhead to the plastic Wailing Wall this place gives and keeps giving. Please if you are planning a trip here you need to give this place a day to itself.

In my opinion, it's a must-visit if you're in town. Even for non-christians.

This is an experience for specific taste. I would say it was a religious experience for me, but because of the ways it is bad. The animatronics and statues are so grotesque that it's comically beautiful. Jesus resurrecting out of the mountain was something I wouldn't have thought to make in my most cynical dreams.
The fact the wailing wall is present with people praying to it (why would it be? they would be praying in the temple at the time it tries to depict), or that there were belly dancers in front of the temple, dancing to Turkish music, was surreal.
There is so much to take in at this park, easily spent 3 hours there and had a lot of fun. But you are likely to have a very different experience if you're less secular.

This is one of the places that i loved too mch in buenos aires. The park is themed on life of jesus. The park is beautifully designed. It also has light and sound shows. There is one ampitheatre where the dance show is organised. The guides and all the employees of the park are dressed the way of ancient jerusalem. There are food courts too. The giant statue of jesus appears at intervals which is really amazing.
