Mesi Bridge

Messi Bridge near the city of Shkoder. The bridge over which the Serbian army crossed during the retreat in the First World War. The river that flows below is a crystal blue green. Very attractive for tourists

Stunning. A good walk out of town or I was told there is a van that goes out to Mes. Plenty of shops and bars along the route to keep your fuel levels up. The bridge is beautiful and you can walk across it or the new bridge that runs alongside it for lots of super photo opportunities. Benches are situated right by the bridge so sit down, enjoy the views and have a picnic.

took me at least 20 minutes (one-way) on a bicycle from Shkodër; certainly a beautiful bridge but not sure I would be as happy to see it should I walk here in the scorching heat as was the original plan ;)

Impressive, worth visiting. The bridge itself and the greenest and most transparent river ever seen. Too small parking on the south side of the bridge, no parking on the other side.

Trully one of the most fabulous bridges I have even seen.. unfortunately due its age I had to take my turn keeping it in place!

The place is really beautiful. You can walk on the bridge, go down under the bridge and enjoy sitting on stones close to the river or you can go to the new bridge next to it and look at the bigger picture. I highly recommend this place, although Google maps can be tricky if you are coming from Shkoder

One of main tourist attractions in Shkodër, worth a visit , its possible to swim in the river as well , The water is crystal clear ,, nice historic place , the bridge built by Ottomans on 18th century

Just a bridge but what a bridge! It's one of the last Ottoman era bridges left standing in Albania... worth a quick visit if in the Shkoder area. Can easily be combined with a visit to Rozafa Castle like I did.

A beautiful Ottoman bridge which is a must-see when you're in Shkodër or passing through the area.

Sidewalks leading to the bridge are new and well-maintained and there's a lot of space for parking, right before the bridge.

Take into consideration that there's no water in the river during summer months.

Very well preserved, impressive bridge. The site was quiet, with a bit of litter, but nothing dramatic.

The Mesi Bridge is the largest bridge in Albania that remains from the Ottoman period and, as such, is a highly-treasured cultural monument.

A good place to enjoy the water. Also it's nice to appreciate the architecture from the Ottoman period. Not located too far from Shkoder.

Beautiful swimming spot (if there's water; there was for us in June). You can also jump off some rocks. It also has a paved road to it so it is quite easily reachable.
Minus an imaginary half-star for all the trash that was around near the bridge.
But still, definitely recommended to check this one out if you're in a swimming mood!

Easy to access. The River was dry, but it was still amazing to see. Like many places there was a lot of trash dumped around the area, which is always disappointing. There are a few stores to get a cold drink or ice cream nearby.

Beautiful natural historical wonder, with blue, clear and refreshing waters.
