Il Tramonto Restaurant

We had a lovely lunch at Il Tramonto. The food was absolutely delicious and Rina and her husbands hospitality made the experience even better. They have very well behaved dogs and a cat!

Rina tailored the meal as per our dietary requirements and we enjoyed the views from their beautiful property. We look forward to coming back and staying at the property and dining here.

Excellent restaurant with a beautiful view on the lake and the mountain. Rina made us some excellent Albanian specialties and made us feel at home.

Bonus is you like cats and dog: their pets are the cutest.

Rina is brilliant! We stopped in for dinner spontaneously and it was the best decision of the day - delicious fresh food, such warm and welcoming hospitality, and a restaurant that is cosy and comfortable and the perfect place to relax after a long day. I hope to come back!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with an amazing restaurant that left a lasting impression. The owners (Kujtim & Rina) were not only welcoming but went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Rina (the best chef in town), delivered an exquisite culinary experience with dishes that were truly incredible. The attention to detail and the passion for quality were evident in every aspect of our visit. Highly recommended for those seeking a delightful stay and a memorable dining experience.

Had the owners recommend us food and they didn’t disappoint us. From fish to salad, from vegetables to dessert, everything tasted amazing. Add the view of the lake, friendliness of the owners and the big portion sizes and you have an overall top experience!

The place is very traditional and next to the lake of Shkodër.
If I come back in Shkodër, I will stay here for sure!

Most incredible experience here! Best meal of our entire Albanian trip 😍 We stumbled upon this gem and were welcomed like old friends by the owner and his wife. Kujtim gave us raki and had a nice chat with us. He asked if we would believe/ trust him to order for us and we’re so glad we did! We were spoiled to an amazing salad with fresh pear and figs, baked cheese Albanian traditional dish with freshly baked focaccia style bread, homemade fries and fresh fish. It was all so delicious. His wife is an excellent cook and she even brought us her speciality dessert. We thought we wouldn’t be able to eat any more but it was so good we devoured it anyway.
Would 1000% recommend if you want great food, superb recommendations, friendly company and an excellent view.

The location and architecture of Il Tramonto is absolutely stunning; our hosts were so lovely and attentive; and the room was well presented and comfortable.

We had a late lunch and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were incredible, the freshest food we’ve had in Albania. For lunch, we had a mix of fresh fish, salad and cheeses, and for breakfast a traditional spread plus home made ice cream! The portions were huge; great value for money.

We had a fantastic lunch here. The owners were very welcoming and their dog was just adorable. Highly recommend the Fish soup and Raw marinated shrimps!

We had a great time here. The food, service and location were all great. We particularly enjoyed the grilled bass. And what a view! Thanks a lot to our very kind waiter. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We came in the evening with no Reservation but it was no problem to get a small room for the night. Very nice people, helpful and great breakfast. Amazing location.

The best location on the lake. Kujtim, the owner of this very special place welcomed us like his best friends as well as his lovely wife. Excellent food and service, a dream view of the lake. We are second time here and we will definitely come again.

Beautiful house on the hill overlooking near pristine blue water. Peaceful, elegant for dinner and drinks but we found it also as a great space to camp overnight. We didn’t have dinner (did check the menu, looks stunning) but breakfast was simple, local and amazing, especially nice as it’s the off-season. Charming hosts, super friendly and very helpful.

My wife and I found the warm reception, elegance and lovingly prepared dishes and wine simply wowed us! Having visited many of the other well-reviewed eateries around the lake this week, Il Tramonto is by far the most memorable experience and the only one we intend to return to next year....hands down. And to top it off - they are dog friendly! This family has done an amazing job creating this gem from the ground up. Bravo! Absolutely not to be missed.
