I came to the island end of Nov, early Dec. Temperature was fantastic for both land and sea activities. Before the trip, i was a bit worried about seeing many people, but our guide planned our itinerary perfectly so we almost didn't see other tour groups at all. Of course before the trip, you'll have known Socotra is beautiful. But seeing with your own eyes is just another level. It looked exactly how I've seen on social media. It's really amazing. And I can't speak highly enough of the local team of 8 people (guides, drivers and kitchen staff). They were all wonderful people with genuine kind hearts and great humour. I've been travelling a lot to many places, but Socotra captured my heart. Thanks to Tour Socotra, i can see the place from the angle of a local which I treasure a lot. I want to especially thank our two guides Khalifa and Ali for taking great care of us. This trip will always be a sweet spot in my heart. Hope one day we'll meet again.

Tour Socotra is a really amazing experience. If you love nature, you'll be in paradise with beautiful beaches and unique Dragon's Blood Trees. Local guides share stories about the island's history and nature. It's a must-visit if you want something different and off the beaten track.

Tour Socotra is great at talking to you. They use WhatsApp to arrange everything and all is well explained into the detail. There is also someone waiting at the check in to assist by any questions.
Getting picked up at the airport is smooth, and they explain everything well. You get three tasty meals every day, and the comfy tents at nice campsites make the trip even better. There are showers and toilets on most of the campgrounds so it's easy and convenient.

The Tour Socotra team is fantastic – the guides, drivers, and kitchen staff are friendly and helpful. They make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. Their positive vibe adds so much to the journey, making it not just visually stunning but also emotionally fulfilling. Overall, Tour Socotra is a great choice for a unique and unforgettable adventure.

I had seen photos of Socotra but nothing prepared me for the excitement, beauty and people of the island. Starting with the guide Adham and his entire team, driver, cooks and helpers. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and happy the entire time we spent on the island. Furthermore, the local population always has a smile on their faces, especially the island's children. Everything was very good, the temperature was perfect and the tours are sensational. At no point did we have any problems regarding politics or any other issue and we were able to enjoy every minute of this paradise. Tourism in Socotra can and should develop further. The areas we visit are still almost untouched, which makes the island an even more special place.

Many thanks to the organizers of this tour! it was perfect. starting from airport pick-ups and throughout the entire trip. I felt care and attention. we video and very beautiful and interesting places, the march was planned so that we felt like conquerors of the islands! staff for us all the way. it's very safe! Don't be scared by what you hear in the news about Yemen. I would like to note that the food was very tasty, there were always a lot of goodies and treats, the menu was varied. The accommodation is very comfortable. soft mattresses and pillows, clean bed linen. but the most important thing is the people who accompany you on the tour! a real team! thank you for my best vacation

Tour Socotra was incredible. Socotra had been on my list for some time, but I was nervous given the political climate and traveling as an American. It’s perfectly safe on the island and was an absolutely magical week. Abdul is beyond spectacular, accommodating - while most tour group go the opposite route, he would keep our group on track to avoid tourists or what activities would be best with the weather. The crew was helpful, thoughtful, and the food was delicious. Hands down the best group tour I’ve ever done!

Hello to everyone interested in visiting the island of Socotra. Let me start by saying that TourSocotra is the best tour operator on the island. During our stay, I compared the places where our team had their camps and where we ate meals to the places of other organizers that we sometimes passed and I can say 100% that we had much better 😃 The food we ate was incredibly delicious thanks to the team of great cooks, everything was fresh and tasty. The fish caught on the same day ended up on the plates during dinner 😃 Before flying to Socotra, I was worried about the safety on the island, but after the first day I realized that it was safer there than in my own home 😅😅 To sum up, I recommend visiting Socotra to everyone, but only with Tour Socotra💪🏻💪🏻😁😁😁

Great organized tours. Smaller groups, we had 6 in our group, an other group was 8 but we did see them only once during the week. The lobster+crab dinner was so tasty😍 And the kids on the island are so nice, they run from all over to meet the tourists😀
During our stay we did not experience anything from the tension/attacks etc in red sea area. That is far away. And military presence on the island is almost non existent. Flying from Abu Dhabi is the best and a safe option.

Visiting Socotra, Yemen is the best travel experience for me! Initially I had doubts because of safety issues, I’m so glad I made the right decision to push through with the trip (thanks to Tour Socotra staff Mae and Patty for patiently answering our pre-travel queries). I’m happy that we chose Tour Socotra for this unforgettable trip! I’m the island, the agency ensured that visitors enjoy the trip and addressed the needs of the guests - thanks to the manager, Yahya, who always took his time to talk to us in spite of his busy schedule taking care of everyone.

Socotra offers a whole package for adventurers and travelers looking for remote and exotic destinations! The place is so magical and jaw-dropping - from the endemic and iconic dragon blood trees to the surreal landscapes of Detwah Lagoon and Kalisan Canyon, Socotra's natural beauty is truly mesmerizing! Quite lucky too for seeing a whale shark (not in season yet) and so many dolphins in Shouab!

Aside from seeing the beautiful places, what’s interesting also is talking to the locals and learning about their culture. Much thanks to our excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide Ali (fondly called “Mr. Nice Guy”) who gave us information about Socotra and anything under the sun. I personally saw his passion about Socotra and his love for their culture. He patiently answered our questions and made sure that my friend and I felt safe and comfortable the entire trip! Ali was also extra patient taking our photos (hundreds of photos!!!). The roads going up to the mountains and going down to the Wadi are quite challenging for city drivers like me - thanks to our driver and chef Essa/Easi who made everything look easy. Because of his driving skills, my friend and I gave him the nickname “Lion, The King of the Road”. Aside from bringing us to the sites, he prepared our food as well (with the help of Ali). Truly grateful!

Socotra is truly an extraordinary destination - amazing sites, rich culture, and more importantly, because of the very kind people. Looking forward already to do my 2nd Socotra trip!

first solo trip in 5 years and i don’t think ill be able to top it. it was so amazing!!

i went solo for NYE along with most of my group. my family was worried about me beforehand but the agency was so responsive and helpful in appeasing their concerns.

like the agency, the local staff is absolutely incredible. we had 3 arabic speakers in the group so the drivers and cooks hung out with us at times too, making it a more intimate experience. they truly took care of everything.

we had two injuries in the group and i cannot express how accommodating they were. one friend fractured his ankle and was carried and driven to his tent, dinner etc. to make it as easy as possible for him.

the food is fresh and plentiful, we joked that we all gained weight from it 🤣 we had fresh seafood most days and chicken and goat. (we knew another girl with a diff agency who had the same fish everyday) my group also went out to dinner in the city, something we requested to do which was amazing. ty adham for the meal 🫶🏼

Not once did we ever feel unsafe or affected by any supposed regional insecurity. Getting to Socotra was easy and painless (via Abu Dhabi). So glad we chose Tour Socotra who made everything possible!

A beautiful adventure to the most unique place I have ever been. The landscape was outstanding. however, people made a main difference - you will never meet such kind, polite, respectful and helpful people in your life. Tour Socotra is Amazing !
Socotra has been on bucket list to visit for 6 years but due to war in Yemen I was hesitated to visit it. Knowing from Istagram that this island is open for tourist and there is travel agent to organize the trip to there, so I just decide to book the trip through Tour Socotra company.
I would say, after visiting 106 countries, Socotra is one of my favorite place. The dragonblood tree forest is like no other place that I’ve visited on earth and is my highlight in Socotra. It’s beautiful island with still not many tourists, so can enjoy the beauty and hospitality of local people. I feel very safe there even when I bring my office laptop. Being a solo traveller and join a group with a complete strangers from other part of the world is also give new experiences, new friends and at the end of trip we fell become very close like a family. I feels lucky to have new friends from this group.
Staying in a tend for a week was also give better experienced close to natures. The Tour Socotra team has done great job to organize the tour and accommodate our request – so I gave two thumbs up for Abdul with his local team, and also to Skyler who has help answering the question prior to departure.

The impressions from the trip will stay with me for the rest of my life. The plan of our trip did not coincide with the plan of any other group. We were alone in all the beautiful places of Socotra! The trip was perfectly carried out, I feel like I made 100% use of my time.

Socotra was magical nature, landscapes, people. Tour Socotra had taken care of everything. Camping under the stars, eating fresh food, hiking around the island was truly a unique experience and the Tour Socotra made this all possible so thank you!

My trip with Tour Socotra was a wonderful experience. I had some initial concerns about safety due to the geopolitical climate in the region, particularly with the US military presence in early February. However, these concerns were unfounded as the island felt incredibly safe and peaceful, far removed from any disturbances.

The tour was impressively organized, with logistics that exceeded my expectations. What made the experience special were the small touches. For example, the staff would prepare our campsite and start cooking meals before our arrival, allowing us to relax and enjoy our meals as soon as we got there. This level of service made the camping feel more like glamping, blending outdoor adventure with a touch of comfort.

Socotra itself was stunning, with its unique landscapes and friendly locals making it feel like a world apart. The beauty of the island is difficult to capture in photos—it truly needs to be seen to be believed. Our guide, Sultan, along with the drivers and support staff, were fantastic, adding to the overall enjoyment of our trip.

I would definitely recommend Tour Socotra. The company provides a balanced and enjoyable experience that is both comfortable and adventurous. It's a solid 10/10 from me for anyone looking for an unforgettable journey.

There is no words to describe those places and people. I’ve never seen anything like this before. The island which seems to be from completely other planet, nature and landscapes which ive only dreamed to see watching the most amazing Disney movies as a child. Completely remote, raw and unique. To say beautiful is not enough. Untouched by current civilization people make this place even more incredible. 🤍Always smiling, helpful, friendly as I’ve never seen before anywhere.

Moreover, Roza @offtrackroza and Skyler put all their heart into those trips doing such amazing job organizing @toursocotra. Taking us to insane places where literally is nobody instead of us.
The whole camp is just perfectly organized including every single small detail.
Local people working with them became part of a family making our trip even more perfect. Always caring, cheerful. Beginning every day with a sunrise dance.
Amazing local food, atmosphere, places … there is no words to describe how amazing this trip was.

Loved our trip to the island with Tour Socotra. I was super impressed with the quality of food and huge feasts they prepared for us each day. We visited in December, some rain early on, but overall weather was good. The guides are super friendly and it felt like they were our close friends by the end of the week. It was a really special experience, super safe, and something I’ll never forget. Highly recommend them.

Island is amazing, but with tour Socotra agency is really powerful

Socotra is an absolute paradise with incredible views, truly unique scenery and wonderful people. I'd been hoping to go for years and it exceeded every expectation.
This was all down to the exceptional service provided by Tour Socotra, they were absolutely superb and I hugely recommend their tours to anyone wanting to visit the island. The drivers, chefs and guides were all amazing and made our time on the island comfortable and endlessly entertaining. The camping was extremely comfortable and the food was delicious. Best of all you could tell that real care and attention to detail went into every stage of the tour to ensure we got the most out of our week, especially with deliberately staying in prettier and more peaceful camping spots.
You will never ever regret taking a tour like this and I'll always remember the incredible experience!
