Spending time on this delicious slice of Earth is a special privilege. I enjoyed my time at Les Bains more than I have at some top-tier luxury resorts, even when it's a tiny fraction of the price (we paid around 1 million per night for the bungalow immediately next to the cascades.) That said, in the spirit of honest reviews, there are a few things worth noting: First I would describe the standard as something closer to 'glamping' than a hotel or resort. The bungalows are charming but simple, and in some cases in need of renovation. For example our hot water only lasted about one minute, the toilet clogged easily, and there was a raised bamboo walkway which was deteriorating with some broken slats and exposed nails. Probably not good for kids, but good for couples as the vibe is secluded and romantic. One other downside is they allow large tour groups to come to visit the waterfall in the mornings, and they can be intrusive with a general disregard for guest privacy, even taking pictures in front of our bungalow and sitting on our steps while we were right there. Still, this is the kind of place you should be looking for if you're coming to Pu Luong, which has developed its tourism industry sustainably compared to similar destinations, retaining its countryside charm.
