Lua Pu Luong

The most beautiful authentic place to stay in Pu Luong , the rooms and the view is amaaaazing. Also the food and the coffe are one of the best we had in Vietnam.
Everything around in the village and to go around is beautiful and authentic .
The host Lua is just glowing like the place itself.
I would higly recommend to visit this beautiful dream that Lua created 🤍

My 3 nights at Lua Pu Luong were a definite highlight of my trip through Vietnam in December.

The location is great for those looking for something a bit more off the beaten path, while still being treated to stunning nature and Vietnam's iconic rice fields.

As a solo traveller, I was fortunate to be hosted by Lua; learning about her story and the journey she took from life in the city to then build this remarkable retreat in the region she grew up in. Her warmth and hospitality extended through the staff working here, and Lua has gone above and beyond to provide a luxury experience - from training the staff on barista-level coffee making, to bringing in a 5 star chef to design her menu. I felt lucky to taste so many local cuisines, and I think the chá lá lôt (leaf-wrapped pork balls) was my absolute favourite.

I stayed in the Xoan bungalow and loved sitting out on the balcony, tucked away under the awning, with brilliant views past the pool to rice fields and limestone mountains. It felt like every detail on the property had been thoughtfully designed with a lot of love and care.

I'm already dreaming of the day I'll come back for another visit, to soak in the herbal bath and hang out with the dogs and cat by the fireplace.

The kindest staff one can possibly imagine. Pleasure to deal with them. The room was amazing. Food was very good. Come here if you want to experience quiet heaven.

A must-have on your travel bucket list, the staffs here are really enthusiastic, especially the host, a very friendly woman. We booked a room with a stunning view. The breakfast served gave it a nice touch to the experience.

WOW… This place is stunning and remote! If you are in Ninh Binh or Hanoi then you have to add this to your travel list!

LUA was an engineer in Hanoi(speaks perfect English) then gave it all up to create this beautiful retreat. The scenery is absolutely stunning and the staff sooo kind and friendly. Plus the rooms, Wi-Fi and food are very good. Bring some cash but you can pay by via PayPal etc

Just Email or WhatsApp to book (she’s not on booking), do some yoga on the decking, get a herbal bath, massage, waterfall tour, bamboo raft down the river, motorbikes all booked by her thru local people to support the community. Or just sit here in the library bar and watch the world pass you by… highly recommended!

Ps defo do the motorbikbike tour to the waterfall and see stunning scenery and walk up through the clean water. Go with a local guide either on your own bike or 2s up 👌

Unforgettable mountain lodge we have been to. Surely we will be back next year when we travel to Vietnam. Amazingly beautiful at all the spots here, especially so good food, authentic cuisines. Really thanks for the warm hosting from the owner. She is so friendly and devoted to her guests.

Coming to Pu Luong, you must definitely experience the Lua house. My family was very pleased with our decision. The house is located on the mountainside with bangalows hidden under the trees, looking from a distance like beautiful little mushrooms. The road to the house is picturesque with a wooden bridge spanning a small stream, lined with trees on both sides. The home service was very good and the staff very friendly. The host enthusiastically welcomes guests and tells stories about the people and culture in Pu Luong. A peaceful, romantic place that my family will definitely come back.

I found it to be very relaxing and one of the most beautiful and scenic retreats I've been to. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food and drinks were excellent. I meet the owner and she took me for a walk through the village. She is a very beautiful and charming woman. I highly recommend a stay if your looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to unwind look no further, this is it!!!!!!

Best place to stay in Pu Luong!!! Very nice design located by the rice field. Great local and western foods, very nice home made pizza from wood burn oven. Great coffee and tea. I love Ban Leo, more natural and original vs over crowded Ban Don. Very nice local people living around. Very nice walking routes around, through the village and fields. Very nice staffs (mostly local people) Amazing host.

I am fortunate to find this hidden gems in Pu Luong, which is created with profound passion by Ms Lua. This is an unique boutique that caters for true natural lovers searching for rejuvenation. We spent few days in Pu Luong, and the view of the hotel area ended up to be one of the best among the region, so authentic and not touristic. Without the backing of capitalism that pursues profit, Ms Lua is able to provide decent level of comfort with attention to details, winter is cold indoor with such traditional build-up but good quality of heating mat is equipped to ensure warm and comfy sleep. Strong power infrared light makes sure changing clothes is bearable in shower room. The cuisine is impeccably tasty! I am not sure how she found the chef, quality of ingredient are top notch also, notably the rice, we want to buy but it is not sold in mass market. Kids love the patio and clubhouse where sufficient details, such as swing, chimney, musical instruments, books and nostagic design that makes people to spend lot of time there, of course with spectacular scenery just in front of it. Other than that, coffee is also a highlight that will not disappoint any coffee lover. I would have no hesitation to be back again and spend more days just hanging around the place, doing some meditation, reading, chit chat with friends. I sincerely hope this place can maintain the unspoilt charm and not be compromised to mass tourism, thought is a huge challenge.

Heaven is actually a place on Earth and it's called Lua Puluong. The whole experience from A to Z was perfect, including the beautiful bungalow and the jaw dropping food. Special thanks to Trinh who deserves the Tour Guide of the Year award, and to Ms Lua who created this wonderful place and filled up with warmth.

Such an amazing, special place. The scenery is stunning, my room was super cosy and had an amazing view onto the mountains and rice paddies, and the owner and staff were so so lovely. Plus, the local food was some of the best I've had in Vietnam. If I get the chance I'll 100% be back!
