Free ticket. Riding to the top is about 15 minutes, while climbing is about an hour. They have a nice view of Sóc Sơn town.

Good place. Crowded sometimes. The place is far and takes sometime to get there if you want to walk but it is worth it. Not much to buy on the top, but you could find some good stuff sold on shops on the outside near parking.

Breathtaking scenery around historic mountain top monument near Soc Son. Climbing the steps to the top could take over an hour but there is a road up to the top as well.

Nice place to relax at the holiday

A steep and enjoyable hike up the hill. It takes about 40 min to the top. From there you can see Ham Lon mountain (in my photo) which is a more challenging hike.

Thánh Gióng (Saint Giong), also known as Phù Đổng Thiên Vương (King Phu Dong from the sky) is one of the Four Immortals in Vietnamese culture. Legend has it that he was a child when enemy invaded Van Lang (former name of Vietnam), he asked the king to make a big iron horse, iron Armour, and iron sword. He then instantly grow up to be a giant, ride the horse and defeat the enemy, using a bunch of bamboo as weapon when his sword is broken. After defeating the enemy, he and the horse fly to the sky.

Quite a rare place in Hanoi, wonderful nature and view

Quite an enjoyable hike up to the statue. To access the stairs you need to walk pass some sacred temples, so remember not to wear clothes that are too revealing. I’m a Soc Son native here I plan to do the hiking every weekend.
