InterContinental Hanoi Westlake, an IHG Hotel

An incredible hotel, highly recommend when you visit Hanoi! First the hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are comfortable with luxury details. The views of the sunset are incredible. The staff are great with warm hospitality, every interaction was enjoyable. It is great to have a quiet break after a busy day of touring or exploring the Old Quarter, so the location is excellent. The food was good, I really loved the restaurants.

The food was good, I really loved the restaurants. My one recommendation would be to add vegetarian options at the Vietnamese restaurant- it was a shame we couldn’t eat there. Other than that, appreciated how much everything was labeled and easy for allergies and restrictions. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Never can go wrong at an Intercontinental hotel. The service is always top-notch. We stayed in a 3 bedroom, over the water, residence. So much space and all the comforts of home. The Club lounge was also wonderful. It was a great place to unwind with a couple drinks and snacks in the evening.

It's great to stay at a hotel in the city that has a resort feel. I chose a room with a lake view and it lived up to expectations. The room is impressively spacious. The hotel is only about 20 to 25 minutes from the airport and a 15-minute taxi ride from the Old Quarter. Breakfast is very diverse. All the staff were extremely friendly and provided excellent service.

I had a wonderful experience here! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, from the moment I checked in until the moment I left. My room was clean and comfortable, and the view from the balcony was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Hanoi!

Lovely stay at overwater room. The sunset over Sunset bar is worth checking out. There is an air purifier in the room which was really useful during the winter haze.

The hotel is a quick Grab ride away from the Old Quarters (don't flag down taxis in Hanoi they will scam you).

Wonderful place to take a short vacation with a skyline-silver lake view. The staffs were polite and enthusiastic, the room was decent, slightly warm and there were enough space to go outside and enjoy the fresh atmosphere. The view in Sunsetbar was so magnificent that it took me hundreds of photos in my album. My friend really appreciated the food here. Promisingly return in near future.

Excellent location of the hotel overlooking the west lake. Very peaceful and quiet place. Absolutely amazing hospitality from the staff, always having a smile on their faces and very welcoming. One of the best hotels to stay in Hanoi.

Wonderful stay a city hotel with resort feel.
About 20 to 25 minutes from the airport, 10 to 15 minutes to the Old Quarter via Grab.

I have opt for the upgrade to the lake view. You may chose to walk to your unit or got the buggy to send you back.

Wide range of breakfast available.

All staff are super friendly and excellent service.

An oasis from the high-energy buzz of Hanoi streets. Stayed 8 nights in an over-water room. The breakfast buffet is huge, the restaurants are good & the Sunset Bar is a great place to spend a chilled evening watching the sunset. Can’t recommend this place enough.

This hotel is a gem, offering breathtaking waterfront views, exceptional service, and a staff that truly goes the extra mile. The general manager, Quang, exemplifies customer-centric leadership. When a minor issue arose with our room, he personally ensured its swift resolution and continued to surpass our expectations throughout our stay. His commitment makes me eager to maintain my loyalty as an IHG Intercontinental member in the future.

This hotel was an oasis in the crazy hustle and bustle of Hanoi. Built overlooking the lake and the CBD of the city, the sunsets were amazing.
Positive thoughts:
1. Breakfasts are amazing with a choice of Asian or Western.
2. Staff are super helpful and friendly
3. Location is superb
4. Good value fpr money

Negative thoughts:
1.The entrance hall to the rooms could do with some work, it looks cheap and needs some paintwork.
2. Whilst this may not be the hotels fault, what is annoying is the habit of certain people leaving their towels on the sunbeds and going for breakfast. Not only rude but also the hotel should have a policy that prevents that.

A 5-star hotel with full amenities and professional service staff. The hotel has a very good restaurant and cafe. The restaurant serves European, Vietnamese and Korean dishes. Some rooms have West Lake view.

The overall experience and service we received this Christmas at InterContinental Hanoi Westlake has put this hotel in my Top 5 in the world.
We arrived to an early check in and an upgraded room. The staff couldn't do enough everywhere we went - restaurants  concierge, reception. Everyone we met, just excellent service.
The inclusive buffet breakfast - perhaps the best of any hotel I've ever experienced!
We booked into the Milan Restaurants for Christmas Eve dinner. The set menu was phenomenonal - creative and delicious - and again; the staff were fantastic! This was our fave, esp. the string quartet.

Christmas Day we booked into Café du Lac, a different vibe as it was a buffet lunch and less smooth an experience (wish we'd gone back to Milan), but so much effort had gone into the buffet it was still an impressive experience.

The large, over-water room with balcony had everything you could ever imagine, from minibar to huge bath, rainforest shower to pillow menu, massive smart TV to wireless & USB charging, ironing board to safe, bathrobes and slippers to wine glasses, tea making facilities and complimentary water. All made up daily. And if you didn't wanna walk - just press zero for the buggy to come collect you.

We stayed 3 nights and left feeling valued, relaxed and superbly looked after. Thank you IC!

I just want to express my huge gratitude for making my workshop successful! To the Sales Contact, Ms. Trang Do (Ms.), she handled all my questions and requests excellently and she was really really flexible and quick to assist me. On site when I arrived, all of the staff were warm and very sensitive to my needs. The hotel look fantastic and really serene! I was picked up and dropped off to and from the airport safely! All thanks to your great transportation service! Check-in went smooth, thank you to the helpful concierge! Pre-event, the whole sales team (Ms. Trang, Mr. Long and Mr. Dung were all attentive to my needs.

On the actual event dates, the quality and assistance were really excellent! The event went by smoothly - all were happy including the food served during AM and PM snacks, lunch and even during breakfast! :) Massive thanks to the whole Intercontinental Team - Concierge/Transfers, Reception, Sales, F&B, Housekeeping and the whole staff!

We had a very nice and relaxing 5 night stay at the intercontinental in a December. The service at the hotel here is excellent all around. We want to give a very special shootout to the lounge staff especially Duong and Anh who went above and beyond.for us. Thank you so much for everything.

It is a remarkable hotel, with a lovely staff. The food and the view are both excellent. I always enjoy my stay at this unique hotel in the heart of beautiful Hanoi!!

Excellent place for a quick retreat. The staffs were polite, the room was decent, the space was big enough for me to walk around at night and have some fresh air. The experience was quite unique since all the rooms are built above the lake. I got to sit and chill on the balcony while letting the water sound soothe my mind. Highly recommend this place.

My team and I recently held a three night event at the wonderful Intercontinental Hanoi Westlake. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and supportive of our requests, ensuring that we had the best experience from the moment we arrived. The events team, lead by Ms Trang where phenomenal, there was always an open line of communication between me and the entire team whom all went above and beyond to ensure that our event was a success. The Executive Chef, Christopher was also a master at his craft. With such a diverse group of guests from around the world, he continually adjusted and updated to menus to keep our guests happy and continually delivered outstanding food for our group! If you get the chance be sure to try one of his Almond Croissants - YUM! The staff and the venue were simply amazing, would recommend to anyone looking to host their event here.
