Cua Ong Temple is located in Cua Ong Ward, Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh province. This is a place of worship for Hung Nhuong Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tang and many famous figures of the Tran Dynasty and is also the venue for the Cua Ong Temple Festival. At the end of 2017, Cua Ong Temple was ranked by the Government as a special national monument.

Really beautiful site with several active temples. It wasn't very busy when we went, but it's currently a national holiday in Vietnam, so that might have played a part.

There was a ceremony going on in one of the temples, but unfortunately my Vietnamese friends weren't able to explain in English what the purpose of the ceremony was to me, however it involved music & chanting, and a young woman dressed in traditional attire dancing.

The site is quite large, with some really beautiful temples, and at the top, a huge statue of Trần Quốc Tảng, a general during the Tran dynasty.

If you love Buddhist temples as I do, I'd definitely recommend a visit to see this beautiful site.
