Sheraton Hanoi Hotel

I enjoyed my stay very much. The service and concierge lounge was top notch. However, I felt the service when taking breakfast in the morning left a little to be desired , though that is not to infer, it was poor service, just that it wasn't up to the same standard as in other parts of the hotel. I found it odd they made pancakes to order yet of the six or so choices of toppings. They did not have syrup. Outside of that, the breakfast buffet was sprawling and all the items were very delicious. Each morning, I tried eating from a different area of the buffet and was never disappointed in any of the choices. I would rate it the best of the three Marriott hotels I stayed at, all of which had very good breakfast choices and made to order stations. Overall, the quality of the hotel was very nice and kept that exclusive feeling by not allowing grab motorcycle riders to be picked up in front of the hotel as it was necessary to walk down the hill to the entrance to pick up your ride. A fairly small inconvenience for the added serenity while on the property.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in in Asia. The hospitality was unbelievable. The staff was extremely attentive, and the service was incredible. We have traveled the world, and this is one of the best Marriott we have stayed at in terms of the staff and hospitality. The staff was extremely kind and accommodated all of our needs. The location is nearby the old quarters and is about a one dollar taxi ride away. The location has a panoramic gorgeous view of the lake and is incredible as you do not hear the noise from the old quarter. The rooms are large and spacious, but are not modern. They are very clean and have a beautiful view. For elite members with lounge access there were multiple lounge areas with breakfast and happy hour in the evenings that included many options, including dinner options. The food was very tasty and there was a lot of variety in the food. The fruit was extremely tasty. I would highly highly recommend this hotel as it was my favorite hotel on my trip in Southeast Asia.

The hotel looks dated but I would say it is very well maintained. Our room was very spacious (see video) and even though we kinda booked the most economical one.

Service was really good. We didn’t know they could hold our golf bags for us initially and loved this service once we found out about it. Also, after ordering food (grab delivery), they would also deliver it to our room so we didn’t have to go down and pick it up (just tell grab to leave it at the concierge and service will call your room to confirm)

Rooms were kept very clean during our entire stay. 10/10 recommend

This trip we only went for the buffet lunch with Vietnamese friends . We have stayed at the hotel previously and were always well looked after and thought they had 1 of the best buffet breakfast around but let me say the buffet lunch we had this week was exceptional. There was no way we could sample everything so much to choose from . Fresh seafood, cooked seafood dishes, sushi delicious , breads , cheeses, salmon, traditional food and a chocolate fountain with icecream and condiments to match . If you want to treat yourself make a booking here you will not be disappointed the chefs are amazing .

Full disclosure: got the upgrade to the Ambassador suite here for two nights, but stayed in a regular room another two nights.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Buffet is delicious. They will exchange money and break down larger bills for you.

Location isn’t that far from Hanoi center and it’s nice to be a bit removed from all the hustle and bustle.

Also booked a tour through the hotel where we had a driver and a guide helping us see all the sights and take us out in the old quarter.

Hotel in general:
Appears to be a little older, but is renovated and presents a very good image.

Rooms and bathrooms:
Large room with lots of comfort and a cozy armchair.
The bathroom is very clean and spacious. I would like to emphasize the rain shower.
Especially the quality of the hairdryer is very good.

Staff:
I myself worked as a front office manager at the Sheraton Zurich Hotel and would have liked to have staff like the one here at the Sheraton Hanoi.
The brand standard was met 100% in every case. The attention and professionalism of Quinh (Front Office) was impeccable and exemplary.
She remembers the names of the guests and knows how to communicate with them.

Food& Beverage:
Everything was fine.

Overall result:
The Sheraton Hanoi and Saigon are very well run hotels. The GM's have done a very good job here.

Located right next to the lake with great views and in the centre of the city.

Great service, rooms are spacious, the buffet is out of this world.
Largest variety of choices in any hotel buffet especially for breakfast that I've ever seen.

Breakfast was complimentary while the lunch was ~400,000 for the hotel guests.

Would definitely recommend.

This was an amazing hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here with my family. The service was impeccable. The food was wonderful with a lot of different options for breakfast and happy hour/dinner. Attentive to the staff was courteous and attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel deserves the highest rating for me! I stayed here last week for my birthday holiday and no regrets at all. The staffs here are very welcoming and helpful. Specially SAM, who greeted us warmly (each time) whenever she sees us during bfast buffet. She genuinely ask how was our tour in the city and gave advices on where else we can go. And because they knew it was my birthday, the staff and SAM arranged a little surprise for me in my room! I was so touched with her handwritten card. I swear this is one of the birthdays I will never forget since its the first time I spent it while travelling. Thank you Sheraton Hanoi and SAM for making my day extra extra special! ❤☺

We absolutely love this Sheraton in Hanoi. We are now going back for our fourth time to stay at the Sheridan Hanoi. There are many hotels to choose from but this is our absolute favorite. The facility is very nice and the team/ staff members there are extraordinary. There are a few standout people such as Ms. Khanh Vu and also Ms. Oank Trinh. They are totally amazing, VERY helpful and so many of their team are incredible as well. They all keep us coming back to stay with them as we do our work at the Hanoi hospitals and Universities. While the rooms have by now dated, this hotel is well located by the West Lake and offers panoramic views of the lake.

A renovation plan is on the way and the breads in this hotel are lovely, very French. The buffet restaurant serves good breakfast and there has been a soft refurnished Club Lounge on Level 17.

We were grateful to stay in this hotel due to the great rooms, friendly services and top location. The rooms were spaceful, luxury, and well distributed. The service was friendly, helpful, and proactive. The location was not far from the Old Quarter (~15min) and with good view, access can be a bit complicated due to all the bikes riding in multiple directions in the narrow road.

The Hanoi Sheraton is one of the nicest and cleanest hotels we’ve been to in the area. The staff are friendly and extremely welcoming. From the welcome desk to the business center, we have been greeted by name before even checking in. I especially want to thank Quynh at the front desk who provided us with wonderful recommendations on things to do and places to eat in town!

The breakfast here is excellent whether you are enjoying it in the lounge upstairs on the 17th floor or on the main floor next to the lobby.

The grounds are kept up really well and are immaculate.

I would like to mention that while the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, some of them do feel a bit dated, a few things that would have been nice would have been side tables and charging options on both sides of the bed. In addition to this, the outlet in the bathroom is not rated for hair dryer use, so you’ll have to use one in the main room next to the television. Aside from these minor inconveniences, I would definitely consider staying at this property again.

The Lounge on 17 I enjoy very much great customer service. Mihn Ahn has great customer service very attentative to customers. The cooks that cook the daily food are great. They are very nice and cook well.
I really like how the doors are opened for me in the mornings its a nice touch.
My room is very clean and the laundry persons respond quickly I notice. Great views of West Lake. Very close to place to hang out and eat. I am overly happy with my stay. Good job everyone!

Old charm luxury property in Hanoi. It is a full scale 5 star hotel that has an excellent fitness center covering a big pool, spa, gym, aerobic platform, sauna, professional lawn tennis court, etc. The staff is welcoming and always wants to give their best. Restaurant and Executive Lounge is greatly setup and plenty of options are provided. Wonderful view of the river.

A pleasant hotel with great customer service. Rooms offer great views of West Lake. The restaurant breakfast buffet is A+. If there is a minus, it’s the location.

I had wonderful experience at the Sheraton Hanoi Oven D'OR restaurant.

Very nice gesture by Sam. She greeted me everyday with very big smile. She also made customization to PHO (soup) as per my taste. Also she remembers customer preference.

Overall wonderful experience at the Oven D'OR which makes Sheraton as my preferred booking choice for future accommodation.

This is an impeccable hotel with courteous and professional staff. The restaurant served an assortment of local cuisine along with basic “American” foods. I absolutely recommend this hotel when you travel to Vietnam.

Fantastic property in the expat area of Hanoi with a great view of the West Lake. We stayed in the lake view suite for 3 nights and everything was perfect - check in, staff service, room quality, club lounge and food/drink options, breakfast, fitness centre and spa. Definitely recommended for stays in Hanoi outside the old quarter.

Well maintained for an old property. Rooms look a bit outdated, but everything was looking proper en well looked after. Bed was soooo comfy.
