Kuu Coffee

A beautiful cafe run by a beautiful soul. One of the great joys about staying in the Ba Dinh area of Hanoi was being within a few minutes walk of Kuu Coffee. This place became my regular for the 8 days I was staying in Hanoi recently. In addition to delicious coffee sourced from the owners own garden, Kuu Coffee offers delicious home cooked dishes as well as another crowd favourite, wine! The language barrier that existed between us (us being myself and my two Kiwi comrades) did not stop the lovely owner from sharing her process and enthusiasm for all things coffee and wine. She was quick to provide a physical demonstration of the phin filter method of Vietnamese coffee when she realised I was trying to explain the process to my friends and the connection grew from there. Google Translate became a valuable tool as it really helped us to discover her passion and knowledge. I am going back to this part of Hanoi just so I can visit Kuu Coffee again.

Food and coffee are amazing for a quick bite or just a nice day outside! I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Kuu is actually the brand of coffee created by the owner! A great spot if you are a coffee connoisseur. I also had the beef and noodle soup and added some egg and it was delicious!

Nestled conveniently next to our hotel in vibrant Hanoi, Vietnam, we stumbled upon a charming little coffee shop that quickly became the highlight of our trip from Hong Kong. This hidden gem may not have an extensive menu, but what it lacks in options, it more than makes up for in quality and charm.

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were enveloped in the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and greeted with genuine smiles from the welcoming owners. Despite the limited selection, each cup we tried was a masterpiece of flavor and attention to detail. However, it was their signature yogurt coffee that stole our hearts with its creamy texture and delightful taste – a true must-try!

What truly made our experience unforgettable was the warm hospitality of the owners. Not only did they patiently guide us through their offerings, but they also took the time to share their passion for coffee, introducing us to different types of beans and even treating us to a complimentary tasting of their special Culin beans black coffee. Their genuine enthusiasm and generosity left a lasting impression on us.

Inspired by our visit, we couldn't resist bringing some Culin beans back to Hong Kong, eager to savor the memories of our time in Hanoi. And you can bet that when we return to this vibrant city, this coffee shop will be at the top of our list. With its cozy atmosphere, exceptional coffee, and friendly owners, it's a true hidden gem that we can't wait to revisit.

Discovering this Vietnamese coffee shop was a true delight! This gem offers an authentic experience for coffee enthusiasts. Aside from their exceptional coffee, their handmade fresh juices were a pleasant surprise,not only do they serve incredible beverages, but they also sell their own carefully curated coffee beans. Lovely lady growing her own coffee. Good food, good vibes, nice place to spend the morning.

The owner is super sweet and friendly. She grows her own coffee and sells the beans at the store too. Food is also filling and delicious.

The ca phe is sooooooo good. The woman and her son that run the place are super nice. Apparently, they grow their own coffee in Dak Lak province. They also sell the beans here.

If you find yourself in Hanoi near West Lake, please do yourself a favour and come here. We came here a few weeks ago and I couldn’t help but remember this place. The lady was just a sweet soul and her food and coffee was amazing. There was a warm, cozy atmosphere and she welcomed with a smile on her face.

We come here nearly everyday. The owner is very kind, knows his coffee and his mother who runs the shop is delightful. You can get breakfast/ snack here as well :)
