Mr Linh's Homestay

Great Homestay in a great location. The real shining star here is the manager Nam. He took what would be a fairly normal experience and turned it into one of my favorite nights in Vietnam. He is incredibly helpful with anything that comes up, and is also eager to engage in conversation with any guests interested in learning more about his culture and country. Highly recommend based on Nam! You rock man!

Stayed at Mr Linh's (believe now called BeBe Guest house) as part of a 2 night tour and just wow. The people are amazing and the rooms are freshly renovated. You arrive by boat and the pool overlooks Ba Be lake. I can't wait to go back.

Great homestay on the shores of Ho Ba Be; we stayed in the wooden part of the homestead and had a large.double.and a single.bed in our room, toilets/shower are shared but very clean. The food was really good, and a lot of it, also a steady supply of rice wine :-)
We did the 3 day, 2 night stay, kayaking down the river was really cool, the trek on the 2nd day out to the h'mong villages was the highlight though, 14km loop with a local.guide that knows the tracks and plants, it really felt we got to see a part of vietnam that not many do. Would come back again for sure.

BEST homestay in Vietnam. I've traveled 50 countries and never had such an experience. After 2 nights I truly consider the entire family as friends, not hosts. They are welcome in my home any day. A big storm hit and Nam saved everyone with bikes by arranging exit routes. Road turned to mud and he got me across the lake with my huge 250 CRF on a boat. Everyone was in big trouble. If you need ANYTHING in Vietnam, Nam will get on the horn with his massive network and have it arranged. I lost a credit card and they even offered to lend me money! Unheard of. Thanks buddy!

Beautiful, peaceful spot on the river just before the lake. Kayaks make for a great trip to the refreshing deep water of Ba Be Lake. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They can arrange logistics for you. Tuoi was a great guide to the area for us. And of course the food was delicious. Loved it!

Amazing host and genuine hospitality, I highly recommend this homestay. Do try the green pumpkin tea!

Had a great stay at Mr Linh's Homestay - good food, comfy beds, air con and mosquito nets. Lovely quiet lakeside location, great for swimming and has fire pit and kayaks. Staff were very accommodating, helping with trips and organising transport. Would definitely stay again.

Had an epic time at Mr. Linh's Homestay. Stayed 2 nights, enjoyed a nice boat tour that picked us up right in front of the hotel, and had delicious hot pot for dinner. A storm kicked up after dinner, the power went out and we watched an amazing lightning storm pass through. Great hospitality, relaxing and fun!

Mr. Linh's Homestay is the perfect place to relax. When you wake up you see the sun rise over the lake, which is a good way to start your day.

Nam was our host at the time and is a nice relaxed guy that will go out of his way to help you in any way he can. I was sick at the time and he took good care of me

We spend two nights in the hostel room of which the beds were comfortable. There are plenty of activities to do in the park like kayaking, and visiting caves and waterfalls.

Overall, highly recommended.

The ambiance is great the guides are awesome and the service is incredible. The food is absolutely amazing. They served all local and organic and really accommodated our vegetarian dietary restrictions pretty well. We did a 2 day one night tour, I and my parents and we totally loved it. 10/10 would recommend. Oh and did I mention, the food was da bomb?

Me and my friend stayed at Mr.Linh's for one night and we really enjoyed. We had dinner in a traditional Vietnamese way which was absolutely amazing. A few days after staying in other Hostels we have realized that Mr.Linh's Homestay is simply the best in whole Ba Be. Very fair price and extraordinary service which goes beyond anything we have experienced so far. So we returned to stay a little bit longer. I would like to recommend Mr. Linh's Homestay to everyone. Mr. Linh himself is a very very adorable man. Who loved to interact with us and help us plan our trips.

The place isn't cheap, unless you're doing the dorm thing, but for actual private or double rooms is a bit pricey... But, the place is awesome. The whole establishment looks out over the lake, and has awesome places to hang and relax, and a friendly group of staff (if sometimes difficult to understand). The food is pretty okay, though it can vary from day to day, but dinners are especially nice when the old guy breaks out the "happy water" (some manner of tasty rice liquor) for shots.

The place is accessible from Coc Toc, and they'll arrange pickup for you when you arrive by bus in the nearby village 2km away. And from there, you can rent motorbikes & kayaks (not cheap, but worth it), and you can easily walk to some pretty nice surroundings nearby. The rest of the lake you do, however, need a tour for, to get to , as it's quite a large area.

Tours can be arranged through the homestay, but are also pricey... but even if you don't do them, you can easily enjoy a few days just hiking, kayaking, and relaxing in the area.

I was here only one day but I could feel so compatible for me and friends.

This homestay is amazing! Set on Ba Be Lake National Park area, lakeside. Gateway to the lake and hiking adventures. Beautiful rooms and superior bathroom facilities. Relax in the lounge area with lake and mountain views. Delicious, authentic and plentiful food and licensed for good beer. You will receive a very friendly welcome to this tranquil and up-market homestay. Boat trips and kayaking on the stunning lake can be arranged too. An absolute must!!

A beautiful piece of paradise. Lovely quiet peaceful home stay with friendly staff, great food, really comfortable lounge and dining areas, clean and tidy bedrooms and bathrooms. I booked a 3 day 2 night trip with them and everything ran like clockwork. Lots of communication and lots of care. On my 2nd night I (single female traveller) was the only guest and I felt safe and welcome. Ba Be itself is absolutely superb - unspoilt and completely natural. Well worth the effort to get here.

Lovely homestay in the wilderness around Ba Be Lake national park, located in northern Vietnam. The structure is eco friendly and beautiful, rooms are not really big but have all you may need. there are a lot of common spaces were guests can hang out and the restaurant serves really great Vietnamese food. They also have mountain bikes available for guests.

Nice homestay that organizes hiking around Ba Be National Park. The Guide Nu was excellent and really helpful. We bought a 1D Hiking Tour and it was excellent. Their pick us up by boat close to our homestay without extra cost, the guide brought a delicious Táy pick nic, we visited a Mông village, ate in a Mông house, walked deep in to the forest and across the rice lands...it was very worthy!!! I highly recommend this homestay and it's adventure service.

Perfect Stay
During our 2-week trip to Vietnam in February 2023, my wife, and I had the assistance of Blue Dragon Tours (BDT) to arrange our fabulous vacation. What we did not know was, they “contracted” with Mr. Linh’s Adventures for our 4-Day /3-Night N. Vietnam adventure. Our request was the trip was 100% private and staying overnight at Homestays. Two of our nights were at Mr. Linh’s Homestay in Ba Be National Park. Our journey began with Hong (driver) and Hin (tour guide) meeting us promptly at our Hanoi Hotel, La Siesta Premium Hang Be (A+ stay). For the entire trip these guys were great. We found ourselves very fortunate to spend the 2-nights at Mr. Linh’s Homestay. They were extremely hospitable. Food was great, private room was clean & comfortable, beer was cold and Mr. Linh’s father was a great host. Such a kind man. He shared some drinks with us and even gave me a hug on our last night. Couldn’t have been a warmer welcome for a couple of U.S. tourists. The stay was very relaxing. In fact so much so, I took one of the afternoons to relax at the Homestay and catch up on some sleep outside under a covered group sitting area. To end, cannot comment more on how much we enjoyed Hin and Mr. Linh’s father. Much thanks for making our trip fun and special. Hope to someday see you again, my fiends!
