Hờn Fishcake Noodle Soup

The fish noodle soup are amazing.

We had a variety.

Standard bigh fish sauce noodle, big crab paste and kebab.

It was sooo good we finished all the soup.

My daughter even ordered extra noodles to finish the soup off.

My son on the other hand complained that it was spicy. Probably the pepper in the fish cake.

Dined at Hờn Fishcake Noodle Soup Bún chả cá Hờn and was taken on an unparalleled flavor journey.

Starting with the big crab paste vermicelli soup, the intense richness of the crab paste set a hearty foundation.

Just when I thought I had savored its depths, in came the green vegetables, introducing a spicy kick that transformed the bowl. But the magic didn’t stop there.

A squeeze of lemon sent my taste buds on a zesty detour, adding a refreshing twist to the deep crab essence.

And just as I was acclimating to the sourness, a hint of chili and a touch of brown shrimp paste pivoted the dish once again, bringing in a complexity that was both bold and balanced.

Ending with another citrus burst, this dish was like a symphony of flavors, each movement building on the last.

A culinary experience where one bowl evolves through five distinct taste profiles. Truly a masterclass in flavor layering!

Delicious soup. I had Bun cha lon...and came back next day for the bun ca thu (mackerel)..incredible.

So good! Better than other ones we’ve tried in Da Nang. It’s located in a local street where you can find other food as well. Soup was super tasty and the fish cakes were amazing. The people were friendly even though we don’t speak Vietnamese. Prices are around 30K.

Had crab paste noodle which was nice. Something unique that would recommend others to try. The shop is specialised in fish noodle soup which was great too. A local spot for a hot soup.

Delicious food with rich flavour. I got the Bun Cha Ion - traditional fish cake soup. Very good taste with a lot of veggies on the side. Highly recommend.

Delicious food, suitable for southern people's taste

When you set foot into the shop, the first thing you’ll notice is a tree that towers through the rooftop. In operation for more than 30 years, the owner’s daughter is now running the business. After two years running the Danang food tour, I have come to realize that hundreds of visitors from all over the world claim the dish at Hon to be their first love in Danang. The light broth that combines the tastes of tomato, pineapple, pumpkin, cabbage and bamboo shoot is incredible. Fishing is one of the most vital industries in Da Nang, and the seafood here is fresh and of the best quality.

It is traditional dish of Da Nang city, fired fish ball noodle. You must try. Reasonable price: 30k VND for special bowl(fired fish ball, steamed fish ball). You can have other choices with lower prices. No MSG

A very different kind of bún chả cá as compared to the one in other cities - there are tomatoes, vietnamese asparagus, cabbage. The extra riêu cua (crab roe?) is good as well
