I’m so in love with this spot. We drove here by motorcycle and started climbing by the electrical-poles trail. It takes me 4hrs from the starting point to the top. We camped on the top overnight and this was the most amazing experience for me during the month. The view is spectacular for both sunset and sunrise.

Cool hiking spot. Very easy to experience mountain hiking. The place is wild. The peak is in reach within avg. of 3 hours hiking. There is a camping spot, which is very comfortable since it is covered in tall trees. You can have your BBQ or whatever food you bringing. From said camping spot, you need to left (from your hiking up perspective) to reach the top. You will see a small range of flora, yet beautiful and special species. The top of the mountain is picturesque, you would spend a day to get all the photos. At this height, you can see lands with a unique view. Trees don't lock your vision, yet they don't provide much shade. Thus you may need sunscreen. It was a very fun exp. for me. Would like to come back sometimes.

I share information of how to get here from Saigon without own vehicles. First, you take whatever bus to go to Long Khanh City fr Saigon. Next, you take a van operated by Kim Manh Hung bus company in Long Khanh. The bus station is closed to Long Khanh train station. The van takes you to Xuon Loc intersection. From there, you take a taxi to get to the entrance of mountain.

At the entrance, you can choose you walk up whole route or use cable car to the middle of mountain and climb up the rest. It takes around 1hour from cable car station to the top of the mountain. It is rocky mountain but easy to climb because of the proper trail. On the top of mountain, there r remains of the military base. I found several holes from bomb attacks. Many Vietnam people seems to stay over the night in the tent.

Second highest mountain in the southern of Vietnam. It is easier to get to the peak here than in Black Virgin Mountain (Núi Bà Đen). The view is still wild because there are not many people getting there compare to Black Virgin Mountain. There are beautiful spots for camping ⛺. In the morning you can watch sunrise, flowing clouds. Please don't forget to collect your leftover after camping, I don't want to see it getting dirtier and dirtier like Black Virgin Mountain.

Night hike to Gia Lao
Started friday afternoon from Ho Chi Minh with motorcycle towards trail headand hiked overnight to skip the heat during the day.
Paid only a parking fee and hiked all the way up in 2hours.
The first steps are steep but you will pass vendors and in case you can get food and drinks there.
We brought all for BBQ with us and camping gear of course.
There is nothing scary on this hike, half way you even have a check point for rest or boil water.
Don't forget your flash light and if you unsure what way to go just follow the electricity cabel going up to Gia Lao.
If u feel lazy take the cabel car running during the day and skip torturous steps.
