The pagoda is ok, but the main attraction is the resident fruitbats, which leave the canopy of the trees at dusk.
They are mostly in the trees in the right backquarter of the compound. We had a good view from the path behind the central hall and the monastery.

It's famous not because of nice architecture temple but a lot of really big bats (Size of eagle) in the garden. They only eat fruit but the size no other bat can reach.

A Cambodian temple full of protected bats. These are sacred creatures and live on trees just next to the temple. Finches could be bought and released as an offering for Buddha's blessing.

Drive your bike in the temple yard, tou can park there for free. Do not use any parking lots across the temple. They charged 7k/bike upfront cuz they know what they're doing:))

My favorite Buddhist pagoda in Soc Trang. Brings back fond memories of rural Cambodia every time I go there. Monks are friendly and welcoming. The sound of traditional Khmer music and the smell of burning incense captivates the imagination.

Bat behind the pagoda near the houses. Sleeping in day time. Begin to fly at 18:00, I didn’t stay longer in the night time. Be careful no taxi at night time in this area, grab neither.
