Mekong Realism Tours

What a great 2 days trip!
I have found them on the FB, read recesses and asked to offer. Mr.Yan was very friendly and nice thru texting so I immediately knew it will be perfect weekend for my family and our friends who came from Europe to spend some time with us here in Vietnam.
Day 1: We have had pick up from our house in HCMC, when we arrived to beautiful Bamboo resort we had lunch then cycling tour thru villages and lotos farm and few other stops for pictures. After we had dinner and gorgeous accommodation.
Day 2: floating market, coffee, rice noodles for breakfast, visit of rice noodles home made factory, cocoa home made factory, fruit on the boat, river boat trip. Check out and before leaving we got cake and coffee.
Then transportation home.
Our guides David and Meria were great and all about this trip was great!!!
I can only recommend you this nice and friendly company.

The service was excellent. We were met by the manger. they picked up everybody very efficiently. Tran, our guide, is a very smart and energetic young lady, has very good English and was very attentive and kind. She gave us a lot of interesting information, answered all questions and was part of the group. Took part in all conversations, laughed a lot and was a lot of fun to be with. She took care of everything that was necessary and minded all the small details.

Just finished a wonderful floating market tour with Hannah from Mekong Realism tours. Our teen girls especially loved her friendliness, warmth and kindness and having another younger person to chat with and learn from was refreshing! We loved trying Vietnamese iced coffee and the noodles. This has been the highlight of our time in Vietnam so far!
Having the tour leave by boat from our reception desk at Bamboo eco village was so convenient- especially with jet lag and an early start!

It was one of most wonderfull trips of us in VietNam. The Mekong experience is well organised with many beautifull things to see like CaiRang floating market, chocolate, factory , fruits garden and villages. Futhermore, our guide ( her name is Nhung) is so nice, friendly and wide range of knowledge. she invited alot of exotic fruits of course It’s super delicious. Definitely, we’ll visit again

I had a great morning travelling down the river and learning about the area. David was really fun and knowledgeable and even sang to us on the boat trip! It was really interesting learning about the cocoa and making noodles and I didn’t expect to come out of the tour so full! David even helped me book my bus back to Ho Chi Minh. Thank you!

Yan is a lovely local tour guide who's friendly, warm and knowledgable about the area. Raised on the rivers of the Mekong delta, he's a true local. Let him bring you on a journey through his hometown and experience it like a true local!

We can 100% recomend this tour. Our guide Nhung was amazing and very nice person to spend a half day with. We were a small group of 3 people visiting floating market, cacao farm, noodle factory and more. Nhung replied all our questions and take care of us all the time. We feel like visiting friend in Can Tho. Definitely made our stay even better!

Yan was a great guide, he offered us a private tour for us as a couple. Really beautiful scenery and lots of stops along the way. All food and drink included. We had a small boat which allowed us to get to the heart of the markets and go down the canals.

We booked the tour last minute, the day for the day after. The tour was great, pickup at 6am and drop off at hotel around 12

This tour only has a few reviews, but a lot in Airbnb (4.9 for 25x review) you can trust him if you're looking for a great experience on the mekong River

We had a great day with our guide Nga, she is amazing :) we visited the floating market, ate their great noodle soup, visited the noodle Village, a kakao plantage and a local family on their boat and tasted some of the best fruits i ever ate.

The tour with david was amazing. Great communication, perfect english, amazing food and loads of informations about meekong and vietnam in general. We would definitely boom again.

This has been one of the best, most authentic tours I have ever done. Its one of those that truly impacts you and leaves you with the feeling that you actually saw something unique and off the beaten path.
Yan was my guide. He is super friendly and knows the Mekong delta and its canals perfectly since he grew up in the area. He took my booking with just 1 hour notice, picked me up from my accommodation in Can Tho and took my on a bike tour around the countryside to see the fruit farms and rice fields in the delta.
Along the way we stopped several times to see examples of the local way of life, say hi to curious locals and even learn about how to harvest rice.
Yan is doing an amazing job offering an insight into people's actual daily lives, and is a good example of the Mekong generous and friendly character he told me about :)

Trena was an excellent, kind and energetic guide for our group. We had a great half day visit with her !

The tour was incredible, Yan is the best guide we’ve ever had. We started by visiting the Cai Rang floating market, where we had coffee and even a delicious breakfast (noodles), all prepared in the floating market. We continued by sailing around small canals, stopping by in a dragon fruit farm where we collected our own fruit and ate it and in a noodle factory, where we learned about the product and made it too!! Yan completed the tour with perfect explanations about everything we saw, he picked us up in our hotel and dropped us off too and, more importantly, he gave us food during all tour!

We’ll definitely repeat if we ever go back to Can Tho!

Look no further than Yan if you’re looking for a tour of the Mekong river! We got along really well with him, and he was a very knowledgeable host in all of the places he took us. The experience of the floating market and surrounding areas felt very authentic and he managed our group of 8 people very well. We ended the tour feeling like friends, and for the same money I cannot see a bigger group making this experience better than Yan could have. Thanks again, Yan!

Nothing but positive experiences throughout. We came across this agency through Google Maps and contacted them through WhatsApp. Within 5 minutes Nhung, who would be our guide the next day, got back to us with a bunch of information about the tour. Everything was settled within minutes and we agreed to meet up at 6AM in front of our hotel.
She was there exactly at the agreed time and we got underway to the floating market. The whole day was excellently planned with interesting facts and trivia strewn throughout. She also took the time to have casual chats in-between, which made everything feel more genuine and relaxed. Besides the visit to the floating market, we went to an organic cocoa bean farm and an artisanal rice noodle maker, both of which were really interesting and had moments where we could try some of their products.
Nhung gladly answered any questions we had and provided snacks and fresh fruit throughout the whole tour. We did not expect this to be a food tour but were more than full by the end of it.
Not sure what else to say. Just highly recommend it and consider it one of the highlights of our trip in Vietnam!

Es ist eine tolle Erfahrung und ein wunderbares Erlebnis.
Hannah war eine so tolle, freundliche und kompetente Führerin. Wir hatten nie Langeweile und wir haben sehr viel über Land, Leute und Natur erfahren.
Es war toll, dass kleine, lokale Händler auf der Tour unterstützt werden weil Hannah bei ihnen einkauft und uns damit verwöhnt und den Tag auch zu einem kulinarischen Highlight hat werden lassen.
Wir können nur empfehlen... geht nicht nur zum Markt, der ist toll... aber das Naturreservat ist ebenfalls ein Besuch wert.

Yan è una guida eccellente, socievole e in grado di trasmettere la cultura del suo paese con grande passione. Risponde ad ogni domanda e vi mostrerà la ricca fauna e la rigogliosa flora intorno a voi. Con lui esplorerete luoghi incredibili e avrete la possibilità di entrare in contatto con le persone del luogo, che non esiteranno ad invitarvi nelle loro case per mostrarvi qualcosa di molto speciale (provare per credere...). Non mancherà di proporvi una merenda molto gustosa e piacevole!
