Hello Mu Cang Chai Travel - Homestay

Nice Bungalows with awesome view, really really friendly family and excellent food. They speak enough english to communicate most things which is quite nice. The breakfast is included in the price and was great, dinner costs 150k per person but is well worth it, we got many plates with different tasty dishes and didn't come close to finishing everything. Meanwhile you get to drink shots of rice liquor with the family. All in all the best place we have stayed at in Vietnam by far.

Amazing place for a restday when on a bikepacking trip. The owner is really friendly and cooks the most delicious food (also vegetarian). The rooms are really comfortable with an extremely nice view of the ricefields. We would definitely visit again.

The view is just AMAZING. The 2 owners are very nice and always try to help you. I've learned also a lot from them on their Mong ethnic history. Very interesting. The food is excellent (diner and breakfast), proposing both asian and western food (but you should try their grilled pork and the chicken, fabulous). The family rooms are ok, just the minimum needed but the bathroom is a bit cold on the evening. Last point is on the access, forget wheelchair, there is a sharp steep tiny path you'll need to walk up, so avoid any suitcase and prefer backpack.

Hello Mu Cang Chai homestay could definitely be the best place that you can spend your time in La Pan Tan, Mu Cang Chai. Lovely and charming owners (Mr. Dê and Mrs.Ly) are so helpful organizing things and plans for the guests. They welcome you friendly, show you where is the room/bathroom and all kind of stuffs.

I will say their homestay gets the best views of La Pan Tan. The rooms there are not the private rooms. The top floor is sub-divided into 5 rooms, which is fine to me as I don't find any trouble with that.

Ly is the best cook. She cooked a lot of good dishes for dinner. Her daughter and son are cute also. Nothing to complain about this place, but good comments.

Amazing view from the top of the hill, really nice wood house with private room or dormitory. The family are so friendly and happy. The food is really good as well. You will discover the happy water :) memorial ! Husband energetic and enthusiastic to talking. If you drive around or pass you should stop.

Stay here! The hosts were so kind. The wife, Lee is the sweetest! The food was awesome! I'll have dreams about it. The trek the husband took us on was incredibly beautiful! Hands down my favorite experience in Vietnam.

The best home stay I have been to in vietnam. The food was excellent and the view is great. The owners are very friendly and speak english very well. This home is perched on top of a steep hill that is reached by a small dirt path. The courtyard overlooks the entire valley. Make sure to stay here if you are in the area.

It is so beautiful location and very nice homestay. Clean and comfortable bangalows, and the host is so friendly. They speak English so good! Food is deliciouse. Highly recomended to stay.

Stayed here for two nights in early October. The landscape is fantastic with a panorama view of rice terraces and mountains of La Pan Tan village. The hosts are wonderful people and very friendly. They serve good breakfast and you can enjoy an amazing family dinner in the evening. 5 star experience!

Amazing. Before arriving we were on the wrong road, oppositie the homestay but the owner waved at us from her homestay, telling us the right way! Her husband picked us up half way with a big smile to make sure we arrived safe. A warm welcome.
Location is great, on top of a hill overviewing a valley. Pretty steep part to get to the parkingplace but if you call, he is happy to pick you up!
Place is Nice. Good rooms and beds, clean bathroom/toilet. A Nice garden with view and he made Nice seats around the hill to enjoy in peace. and most important, very friendly owners who make delicious food!!
They speak english and shared lots of storys about there culture. We had a most amazing Evening with them and the other guests.

I most defenetly recomend this place.

Service, food, rooms all amazing! Just don't try to drive up the path to the homestay - the staff will come down and help you park your bikes.

Fantastic place to stay! Was there in December, and although it was a bit cold at night, and the rice farms were not growing anything, it was still one of the most goregous palces I have ever been to. The hosts are some of the nicest people I have ever met. The accomodations are very basic, some floor mats with the most comfortable blankets I have ever used, and simple rooms. The wifi is absolutley amazing there though (at least when I was there), so if you need to be connected, don't worry about that. They also serve fantastic food, and always such a large variety of it as well. For me it was my favorite place I stayed in southeast asia.

Don't miss out on this amazing homestay. It is worth going out of your way to check it out. The view from the front yard is nothing short of staggering. The homestay is literally on the top of a mountain and it is the most beautiful accommodations I've had in my entire life. Husband and wife owners, Zee and Lee, are incredibly friendly and helpful. Zee even drove my motorbike to the top for me. The meals were varied and exceptionally delicious. I was initially only planning on staying for one day but ended up staying for three. The rest of my time in Vietnam, this was the place I recommended the most to people. If you're anywhere nearby, make sure to stay here.

Mu Cang Chai is a hidden gem of Vietnam. It has some of the most stunning views of terraced rice paddies in Vietnam, without the crowds. Hello Mu Cang Chai Homestay had the most amazing views of the area and was set in close proximity to La Pan Tan village, about a 30-minute motorcycle ride from Mu Cang Chai city.

The homestay is a series of individual and adorable bungalows, each with its own view of the landscape. The bungalow was simple and clean, with a comfortable bed equipped with a mosquito net and a private bathroom. Each morning we were cooked a fresh and delicious breakfast served in their dining room which had panorama windows looking out at the landscape. It was an incredible way to start each day. Lunch and dinner were also delicious home-cooked meals by Ly, one of the owners.

The owners spoke pretty good English. Ly definitely had the best English of anyone we met in the area, and the homestay also had really good wifi.

Hello Mu Cang Chai offered many different tours of the area. We booked a guided half-day hike of the surrounding rice paddies followed by a half-day motorcycle tour of the greater Mu Cang Chai area and village. We saw a lot of incredible sights around Mu Cang Chai and it was an amazing way to spend a day. On top of it all, our guide (one of the owners, De) took incredible photos and videos of us throughout the day. It is hard to explain in words how spectacular the scenery was here.

I would definitely recommend booking directly with the homestay through Facebook Messenger. Coordinating our stay with the owners through Facebook Messenger was simple and they were able to help coordinate pickup for us from our bus stop after we had the bus driver call them. Once we got to Hello Mu Cang Chai Homestay they were able to coordinate everything we could need or want to do in the area at a reasonable price. Make sure to bring VND, since you need to go into the city to get to an ATM.

This was a truly incredible experience and one of the highlights of our time in Vietnam. If you are looking for an uncrowded view of incredible rice terraces, Hello Mu Cang Chai Homestay is the place to go. Mu Cang Chai is a hidden gem and La Pan Tan, the village where this homestay is, might just be the most beautiful part of Mu Cang Chai.

My favorite homestay in Northern Vietnam. Although it doesn't have a pool as pictured... It has an incredible view of the rice terraces and has a great family dinner with lots of good happy water flowing.
PSA: don't trust Google maps on how to get there! Once you turn off the main road to go up to the village just stay on that road until you start going down the hill again and see a sign for the homestay. Then enjoy the rigorous climb to get to the homestay

If u guys traveling to Mu Cang Chai, Hello home stay is the best area to stay. They host us very well, the service so nice and they cook very delicious for dinner and breakfast. I enjoyed 2 nights to stay here and so thankful for the friendly owner!

This place has great view. You'll never be disappointed (except the beds are a bit hard) ;)
