By far my favorite beer selection in town, with a big and chill outdoor space ☺

Lovely new position lakeside. Access is down a slightly intimidating lake next to the intercontinental but don’t let that out you off. Frank the doggo is full of character. Friendly staff. Menu very limited since we were last here, no more tasty Vietnamese food. Plenty of board games, atmosphere laid back and relaxing

A hidden oasis of calm in a busy city. Beautiful, relaxing patio with an unrivalled drinks selection including tons of local craft breweries and affordable wine. Comfy seats outside with a gorgeous lake view. The upmarket pub food from Philling Station is delicious as well. Great place with a chilled out vibe.

The pies are excellent and the staff are friendly. Frank the dog is adorable and very friendly. The drink prices are good, especially for the IPAs. I highly recommend this place. There are also board games to play and trivia nights on Sunday.

Cute little place. Outdoor area is quirky with lots of foliage and looks out over a small lake. Can get a nice glass of wine and they serve decent food including Indonesian/Thai.

What a cute little hidden gem! Great patio space right on the water! They had house wine for 60,000/glass - heyooo! No food served here but they have several local menus for you to look at and they’ll order delivery for you. Loved it!

This place has a great drink menu, from craft beer to Mezcal 😍😍😍. The place is clean and comfortable and the outdoor seating area has a very good view of the lake. Comfortable and ideal for a date or to hang out with friends.

Cool little spot next to Ho Tay to escape the noise of the city. Good views of the lake, and a really nice selection of beer, kombucha, and good food. They host a great pub quiz on Sunday nights too, which is always a hit for groups! Owner has a sweet daschund who is always a super friendly greeter. :)

Love love the music they play here - they don't serve food but will gladly order food from pretty much anywhere and have it delivered to you at you table. They have a good collection of games as well, we played cards drank and enjoyed the tunes!

Excellent new location and friendly staff, this place has a vast range of beers and spirits to please everyone. So whether you fancy some quiet time beside the lake or want a lively evening atmosphere, this place has it all.

Really very tasty Indonesian food courtesy of Juni's kitchen. There are essentially two businesses under one roof here: Juni's crew offer a succinct but incredibly tasty (and very cheap) authentic menu, and the Red River guys provide the drinks.
There is a pretty extensive drinks menu, including a handful of good quality craft beers.
Nice garden looking over the lake (if you're prone to insect bites bring repellent, although I've never had a problem personally).
Chess and other boardgames available.
Quiz every Sunday I think.

You can now park your bike in the adjacent lot, rather than leaving it at the end of the alley and walking up.

Closest thing you'll get to a pub in Hanoi. Excellent venue, with books to borrow, board games to play, solid IPAs (strongly recommend the Hanoi Homie), they also have a variety of teas and whiskeys (again recommend French Vanilla or the Cinnerator). On Sundays the owner hosts a hilarious and educational quiz.
Staff can be slow with food orders if it's busy but apart from that it's pretty damn flawless.

A nice, usually quiet space to sit with a beer and enjoy an engaging conversation or silence, take your pick. The selection of beers is not huge, but it's very well curated.

After a few years in Hanoi you get used to places opening up and closing. This is not one of those places. The selection of single malt whisky is impressive (Laphroaig, Macallan, Singleton, Glenmorangie, Lagavulin and more). The cider selection is very good: Stowford on tap. The owner and staff are genuinely warm and welcoming and their focus on service is really good. Lovely, lovely place and good people.

Very nice bar. Many public activities offered through the week. Nice selection of food downstairs and amazing drink selection. Great for groups that would like to speak as well as individuals that would like to meet new people.

Red river is a great spot to chill with your mates, have some drinks and play some board games or eat great food. The host Jim is a pretty cool dude too!

Affordable price and friendly service. Their puppy, Frank is extremely cute and energetic. Their cider is my favorite and their choice of music is definitely the best.

One of my favorite cafes in Hanoi, it’s serenity and peace in the center of a blistering metropolis is a haven for those looking for a quiet game night or a day by themselves! I adore this place.

Highly recommend! We wanted to escape the intense heat and found a lake view, fans, incredible ciders, and exceptional potato and cheese croquette!!!
