Make sure to go to the ticketing office the day before to confirm the departure time for the shuttle bus, or let your hotel manager or host call them to confirm. The information provided on the ticket bought online and the schedule on the website are not consistent. The bus can leave earlier than communicated on the ticket as the departure of the shuttle depends on what time the ferry leaves the port at Tran De. I guess in the summer months the boat goes out twice a day and in winter just once. The shuttle bus picks you up at the ticket office at least two hours before the departure of the ferry as it takes approximately one hour to get to the docking pier.
Our boat left at 7:00 as scheduled (mid. December ‘23). We had to be at the ticket office for pickup at 5:00 and the bus left at 5:20 (actually 5:30 with a 10 min. delay). It was a short night ;)
Moral of the story, be there early, communicate and do not rely on the schedule alone. Good luck, god bless.

We bought the ferry ticket to Con Dao online. Turn out the ferry pier is quite faraway from Soc Trang town centre. On the web site it says there is shuttle bus taking passengers to the pier. When we get to Superdong Soc Trang office, they told us that there's shuttle bus for the 7am & 2pm ferry but not the one at 10:30am (the one we bought). As we bought the ticket online the staff in Soc Trang office said they could not change the ticket and we had to send an email. I checked online that changing ticket cost 30%. another option was taking the 5am shuttle bus and wait at the pier until 10:30am (!!!!) We end up taking a taxi to the pier which cost 460 VND. The staff were helpful however they should post more info online.

Open at 6:00 AM for the bus ticket to the Ben tau cao toc Soc Trang port 36 kilometers (1 hour) away. Tickets are 40,000 VND. Bus leaves at 6:45 to catch the ferry to Con Dao at 8:30.

コンダオ島行きのフェリーチケット購入のために行きました。
朝6時から開いているそうです。
6:30に到着しチケット購入。423000ドン
すぐに港行きの連絡バスに乗り込んで発車しました。
オフィスから港までは連絡バスで移動します。
連絡バスは6:30〜6:45ごろに出発してしまうので
オープンの6時にはここに来るのが確実です。
オフィスから港までは約分田舎道を走ります。
港に着く少し手前の大通りには街があるのでご飯屋さんなどがあります。
が、連絡バスの場合は止まりません。
フェリーには一つ小さい売店がある程度。
歩いて少しのところに露店ご飯屋さんがあるのでそこで朝食取れます。
時間がギリギリの場合は持ち帰りにもしてくれます。
今回は35000ドン。

Die hier beschriebenen schlechten Erfahrungen kann ich nicht bestätigen. Der Bus zum Hafen war pünktlich um 05:45 da und fuhr wie angekündigt um 06:30 los. Mir wurde aber auch gesagt, dass man mindestens eine halbe Stunde vor offizieller Abfahrtszeit vor Ort sein sollte. Das gilt aber auch generell in Vietnam. Die Mitarbeiter sind nett, können aber nur wenig Englisch.

Ticket office opens at 6am. Bus leaves around 6:20-6:30. We were aiming for 6:30 but they decided to leave earlier and saw us walking with backpacks towards the office. So they stopped and started waving us. Be there early! Bus costs 60000 vnd, it has strong ac (really cold) and it was almost empty. Also, buy ferry for 8am, not sure how to arrive to ferry for 7am.
