Quang Trung Museum

Beautiful site. Museum is full of interesting artefacts. Unfortunately, the temple of the 3 Tan son brothers was closed on our visit day.

A large and interesting museum about Tay Son dynasty, worth to visit

King Quang Trung is my biggest hero, so visiting his museum is my purpose of the trip to Bình Định. The museum was built right on his original house location, in which a tamarine tree and a well are still alive since his time. It may take you the whole morning or afternnon to finish the museum.

Outstanding memorial and exhibits of this most revered Emperor and the period of the Tay Son rebellion. There is also what was called a "Kung Fu Dance" exhibition in an air-conditioned hall. Very colorful and entertaining. Make sure you take a drink from the well. Legend says that those warriors who drank from it before every battle were always victorious. Also, according to our guide, the water is believed to stimulate virility and potency in both men and women.

It is a nice and peaceful place. Recommed. Should go

Great place to visit and learn about Tay Son dynasty

Access is little far from Qui Nhon downtown but worth being part of the local history of that area. Very well maintained.

The most meaningful museum while traveling to Binh Dinh to understand this land. I came there many times to know more about history of our own country and the hero Quang Trung (Nguyen Hue) who had great victories during Tay Son dynasty in the 18th century.
There has enthusiastic tour guides, I visited 300 year-old tamarind tree and the ancient cool weel,... I had time to enjoy traditional Martial Arts of Vietnam and Martial Drum Music in its birthplace (Tay Son - Binh Dinh). I feel proud of my country!
The entrance ticket costs 20.000 VNĐ (~1 US$), but if you want to enjoy Martial Arts Performances and Martial Drum Music, you will pay more 20.000 VNĐ. It's very cheap but it's so interesting!

Quang Trung museum was built in his native village, Kien My, 40km west of Quy Nhon city. Inaugurated in 1978, it is one of the largest museums dedicated to famous Vietnamese personalities. It is also one of the busiest attracting researchers and tourists. In the museum, the Tay Son shrine, which worships the heroes of the Tay Son movement, was the first stop of visitors. Tran Ngoc My, the guardian of the shrine, says: "This shrine was built on the site of the former home of the three founding brothers of the Tay Son movement. It includes 10 altars. In the center are the ancestral altar and an altar dedicated to the three brothers. Those two sides are reserved to worship the military leaders of Tay Son. Finally, there is an altar dedicated to the Nguyen dynasty."

Historic site. Local folks would drink the water from the well before entering the temple.
