A beautiful temple complex om Sam Mountain. Must see if you are in the vicinity. The entrance is free. The visit is mostly along stairs - being on a mountain - but it's not a hard walk. Nice views of the surroundings.

Beautiful pagoda and stunning views of the rice fields. Definitely stop here when in Chau Doc.

Very nice temple you can visit for free. Includes a huge area up the hill with many different buildings and even a tunnel system. Big and small prayer rooms, ponds, garden, statues. Also has 2 nice souvenir shops.

This pagoda is a magnificent construction. You can see it in the middle of Sam mountain from the way back from Tri Tôn. There are many steps to walk to the main hall, reasonable design, good view around, peaceful and calm when you come here. Especially there is a temple in cave and Buddha statue on the cliff on top.

Very nice Pagoda. Partly built in the mountain. Well maintained and very clean. Lots of stairs climbing to the Pagoda.

This pagoda is unbelievably beautiful and calm. I suggest taking your time admiring it and feeling the serenity. You can park your vehicle at the bottom for just 10,000d and go up the stairs. There are many parts to the pagoda including caves etc which light up with automatic lights. We will definitely revisit this place if we ever come back to Chau Doc.

An awesome Buddhist temple/cave complex, beautiful, serene and with an aerial-type view of the northern Mekong Delta rice fields to boot. Do not miss the mirror cave of a thousand Buddhas!

Nice Pagota. Nothing specificly awesome about it but also got what I expected. The flowers and scenery was nice. The people were friendly, warm and inviting. The kids didn't stay interested very long at Phouc Dien Tu Hang Pagota but it was a cool place. 😎 bring your friends or family for something to do.

First time I visited this temple in March 2015 when it was still under renovation. Even then it impressed me as a nice piece of Vietnamese temple architecture. Besides it has such unique features as underground tunnel with stone steps, tiny caves with Buddhist figures, artistic lights and a marvelous view over Nui Sam area which is near Chau Doc city. I admired landskaping of the temple as well.
Second time I visited this temple in November 2017 when major renovation/construction works were over.
I highly advise to visit this temple. There is no entrance fee but donations are welcome. Be ready to remove your shoes before entering the main part of the temple and walking after that, including the underground tunnel, barefooted. Be ready as well to walk up and down many steps. At at exit from tunnel there is a pond with statue of Guan In. You can take a bamboo stick with a metal bowl, catch water running from Guan In hand and drink it. Do not put these bowls into the pond, they are only for drinking. There are many spots with a nice view over the neighbourhood. Find a quiete place and relax and enjoy! Near main steps there are some souvenir shops.
At the bottom of the hill there are several cafes where you can park your motorbike or even a car, drink coffee and nap in a hamok. Have a nice tour!

Great temple to explore. Continuing development. Serene grottos for prayer within the main temple plus a labyrinth of connected caves offering unexpected corners and dedications to the Buddha and Ba Chu Xu.

Breath taking view after the long hike, do bring lots of water + walking stick as some portion with a 40° slope
