Avila National Park

My favorite thing about Caracas it’s definitely the Avila, it’s actual name it’s Guaraira Repano. You can do many things nature walks, go to the rivers, get to the top and eat there’s even one of the best hotels called the Humboldt, you can even go ice skating on the top of the Avila. It’s definitely a visit you need to make

Julio out driver was great and showed us some gems in there. Teleférico wasn't working but it is to open in November

To sad it is closed but they do offer private tours to the Humboldt Hotel... $15 per person... Costly.

Excellent place to visit

By far, the best touristic and relaxing place of Caracas!!! No matter how you get there, if it's hiking, trekking, in jeeps or by the cable car... The views, nature and experience is amazing! When you are on top of the mountain and you can see the Caribbean Sea on one side and the valley of Caracas on the other side is simply spectacular! It's impossible to not miss El Avila so much if you are Venezuelan and moved to other country!!! 🇻🇪

As a local, this mountain range means a lot to us. Most locals love to climb this mountain any day of the week but mainly on the weekend. If you don't feel don't like making the 3 hour hike to the top (Moderate hiker), you can always take the very enjoyable cable car. Lots of food and great views at the top. I recommend buying the local wine ;)

Great views, nice cold climate (so remember to bring appropiate cloathing!!), and a combination between nature and nice establishments like places to eat, a cafe, and an ice rink for ice skating. A great experience overall

Excellent hiking trails, if you're looking for that. Also many amusement things such as food and some rides. Also a really nice view of Caracas from the heights, beautiful place to go.

You should take some water and snacks with you, you can go all the way to the hotel but this hike is rather serious can take up to 6 hours to get there so be prepared but you can do the short hike too, there are stops for the water where you can refill.

El Avila National Park is a nice place for hiking and walking, with an amazing view of Caracas.
