I am in the Houston Hobby airport and visited your store. I had a problem with my iPad (it wouldn’t come on). Your employee, Leslie was very helpful and friendly. She took time with me and helped me with my issue. Every business needs a Leslie! I appreciate the help she gave me.

We stopped by here because one of my family members just had to spend money to support the Apple brand. The employee was able help with the forgotten items and we were finally on way again. Thanks to the iStore, the world will not be ending as a result of the lack of preparation by my family member.

Jacob is the one who swayed me to give this location 2 stars, otherwise I'd go futher to express my disdain for the lack of attention paid to paying customers. My mother and I were going to purchase headphones and we walked in looked around.... And receive no welcome, not even a look up from Ricardo. We may be darker then him but we matter. I had planned to buy beats and a pair of headphones for my mom specially for our 4 hour flight home. But Ricardo was not interested in greeting OR acknowledging us. Upon my return in the store to grab his name I was pleasantly greeted by JACOB. Thank you Jacob a simple hello goes a long way.

After I shared my concerns (below), Bill Taylor, the manager of the store called me. He apologized for the negative interaction with their store employee & refunded the money for the overpriced charger to me. He promised to address the surreptitious audio recording. Thanks for listening to me & addressing the concerns.

I went to the iStore in Hobby Airport this morning, around 9 AM on March 30,2024. I wanted to return an iPhone charger that I had bought there for $71. This report is to describe my experience with the customer service person at the store, Michaela. When I entered the store she was standing at the entrance having a social conversation with a friend, another woman and I waited until she was done to talk to her. I told her that I was there to return an iPhone charger. She looked suspicious and displeased (her general demeanor including facial expressions and body language) and asked me if the package had been opened. I explained it had not been opened. Then she and went into the store to the checkout counter and I showed her the receipt. She looked at it and told me that it was past 14 days since the purchase, so they could not accept the return, according to the iStore policy. She was very dismissive when she told me this. I asked her if there is any way she could make an exception, and she said ‘No, I can’t, that’s the iStore policy’. I asked her if I could call iStore directly and appeal to them, and she said “you can do whatever you want”. I asked her why the charger was so expensive ($71) when the same charger was available in the Apple store for much less and she said “That’s just our price for Apple products”. I asked her why these products were so expensive in iStore. I then asked her if she had any advice for me about how I could return the charger and get a refund. With each question of mine I could see her visibly getting angry and more hostile, and she kept raising her voice. At that point I asked her “Why are you getting angry? I’m just trying to get help here?” and she told me very belligerently “I am not getting angry”. I told her that she was indeed angry and disrespectful and that I would report her to the store owners. At that point she told me that she had been recording our conversation and she would go to the airport authorities with the recording. I was taken aback that she was recording me. I told her it was illegal to record someone without their knowledge or consent and she told me that it was not illegal in Texas (she was right – I looked it up). By that time she was blatantly hostile to me and was almost yelling at me.
Reflecting back on the experience, I think the key points that were disappointing were: (1) She had an attitude that conveyed that dealing with a customer is a burden and an annoyance, rather than an opportunity to help and serve that person; (2) Her tone of voice, demeanor, body language and choice of words were very disrespectful at first and then progressively became more hostile and aggressive, needlessly so (3) She had no skill or ability to soften the impact of telling a customer that the store was not able to agree to their request. I have been to many stores where they did not stock the item I was looking for, or they could not accede to my request. In those stores the sales people were courteous and graceful in how they explained their inability to meet my requests. Michaela had no such skills. Instead she was dismissive and confrontational.
The most disturbing thing about my experience was the surreptitious audio recording of our conversation. I was taken aback that anyone would do that and I found it an invasion of my privacy, another maker of disrespect for customers where customers are seen as the enemy rather than someone that should be helped.
I am happy to speak to some managers or administrators at iStore about my experience and give them some feedback and insights.
Until they improve, I am going to avoid this store and all iStores, and I strongly suggest that no one go to this store to buy anything.

This company denied my return even though I was well within the parameters of their own return policy. The customer service associate in iStore had no idea what he was talking about and was a waste of time and money.

This lady named Michaela is the rudest person. She doesn’t greet and she is not knowledgeable at all about the products that are being sold.
This is a third-party affiliate. That means that they are not an Apple store.
If you are looking for quality products do not come here because they are disgruntled and ignorant.

This Apple Store does not care about customer.
I had an emergence trip and the new iphone issued by my company did work right. Manager said they don't care about my situation. I had to fly out with a brand new broken iphone.
When I got back I contacted apple and had my iphone swapped, I told them what happened and left my phone number, ask to speak with the service manage.
They never called back, I contacted them several more times, but got no contact, so I think they don't care about customer, AND very coward.

Absolutely horrible service ! Walked in for a fast charger and asked a question, the person had an attitude from the start. Then proceeded to tell me my question was dumb! She needs to be fired! An Absolutely ignorant person working there!

Way overpriced even for airport standards with a very limited selection. I don't suggest going unless you really need something and cannot find what you need elsewhere in the airport. I would rate it lower if I could.
