This is an excellent Christian bookstore with a complete assortment of Bibles, inspirational books and collectibles. Their coffee shop has excellent gelato. There's a sugar free hazelnut and a sugar free dairy free vegan raspberry lemonade. The coffee is great but I was blown away by the keto mango cheesecake. If you're diabetic and thought you had to give up treats like this you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Tried it recently and must say loved it. Ordered Chicken Pesto Panini and Turkey Panini which comes with side of Coleslaw. Also got a side of Chicken Salad and Caramel Mocha Latte and Hazelnut Cuppacino. Everything tasted amazing. Staff was pleasant. Prices were good too. Definitely recommended!

My family and I loved this cafe and bookstore. It has such a peaceful atmosphere with plenty of books and the food and ice cream is delicious. The girls at the cafe were also very kind and patient. Will return.

Wide range of Christian books, music and decor. Also has a good selection of boardgames.

I really love the music department, with listening stations.

The in house coffee shop is well respected in the Abbotsford area, with a nice atmosphere and tasty drinks and food

Nice calm atmosphere. The store sells a lot of different things from homemade jewelry to jigsaw puzzles to t-shirts. They even have a jigsaw puzzle on the go for anyone who wants to participate. I haven't eaten here, but the restaurant section is very nicely laid out and it smells wonderful. I come here each week to pick up my organic vegetables from the grower and finally ventured inside yesterday. I'll probably come back just to look around some more.

What a great find! Kinda a mix of a small coffee shop, mini Hallmark store and bookstore all rolled into one.

As others have mentioned this is primarily Christian themed so if that’s not your religion you may find the choice of books somewhat limiting as I did.

Nevertheless, they have a wide assortment of other trinkets(Willow Tree etc), board games and a big selection of Playmobile.

The coffee shop is great too. Big selection and the Cafe Mocha was a hit. In addition they have a small selection of sandwiches and other baked goods but as an added bonus, gelato as well!!!

Will definitely be back one day to try the food and gelato. Only wish it was open till a lil later.

As a long-time resident of Langley, I've made the drive out to House of James so many times, each time looking forward to the experience. Staff are always friendly and helpful, the selection is great... and it's just so much fun to meander through rows of new and used books, Bibles and artwork, cards and novelties, toys and gift items, and then to settle in for a coffee and a snack. Thanks so much, HoJ, for so many years of Christian supply and service!

Our families favorite locally owned bookstore. Amazing selection of new & used books, music, Bibles, great gift selection & cards, toys, games & puzzles. They also have a coffee shop that serves coffee, gelato, baking and salads, soups and entrées.

Great selection of books and other materials for the family...and you can also get a bite to eat, or coffee, at their Cafe most days.

Always great to stop by and browse. I like that they have a lot of cool new stuff in store. I even buy my body scrub and lotions as they carry other local places. Plus the Reese frappe is amazing and the coffee shop had specials.

Absolutely love this place. From the amazing calming supportive vibe, to the friendliness of the staff, it’s a great place just to be even without spending money. The prices are fair and the coffee shop is awesome. Definitely one of my favourite places to go in the city 🙌

This place has a really nice atmosphere and comfy coaches. There is a piano that you can play if you have the courage to play in front of the people there. Definitely a cool place to relax and grab a drink or food and get some work done or read a book.

Beautiful warm place to get great resources and neat reasonably priced gifts!!

We visit this Christian bookstore and it is fun place for all ages. Even has kids reading cute area.

Most of all, we really enjoy the Cafe. Their London Fog is Signature (I always get it in Goliath size). I recommend!

Loved the vibe of House of James for my first time going to the store. It’s a local Christian book store with a ton of variety and a huge used section that you can check out.

Has 2 floors and a coffee shop in it as well. Ended up buying 4 books and stayed there for about 2 hours! No complaints :)
