Nokomis Beach Bait & Tackle

The owner of this store was a ridiculously professional and caring store manager. He knows Fishing, and he knows service. He helped my wife and I out with souvenirs, a pretty dress for her, fishing equipment, and bait. We ended up having a great day, but even if we would’ve had a tough day, we would be writing this review. It’s hard to run a small business in a frequented area. The class and generosity this man Showed was top-notch. We’re heading back there today and called ahead to make sure he had bait, And it was the same class-act. This is the kind of small business I recommend supporting. There aren’t enough of people like him. Genuine, classy, and personable.

Visited Nokomis Beach Bait & Tackle and was thoroughly impressed! Heather was exceptionally hospitable and their inventory is top-notch. Surprisingly average prices for a tourist spot. The store itself is clean and inviting. Highly recommend!

The place is awesome and has everything you could want from a bait, tackle, and souvenir shop. Spent a hundred+ bucks over a three day weekend buying dozens of select size shrimp, a new pole for my son, and souvenirs while we were here at our resort around the corner. Staff is friendly and prices are a good balance of keeping them afloat and you not getting ripped off. Will always use them when in town 😎

This store is awesome the staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Great prices best in town , I shopped around in the area. Very clean store and to have a bait store with zero smell is very impressive. We will come back 100%

My boyfriend and I come here literally every other day. I love all the workers but look forward to seeing Heather and having her help us every time. She knows her stuff and we weren’t catching anything until she started giving us tips and helping. She’s amazing.

I've shopped at many of the tackle shops n the Venice area and NBBT is my favorite. Mostly gear but apparel and souvenirs, too. Owner Bryan is outgoing and fun and a great help to anglers experienced and inexperienced and has a wealth of fishing knowledge. He also runs a charter fishing service where he's the captain so he always knows what's biting and how. Good range of equipment all reasonably priced. My first stop for fishing when I'm in the Venice and Casey Key area.

They take pride in the stuff they sell. Gentlemen in the morning went above and beyond with help! Daughter took my son back and she said the woman was extremely nice and helped pick a short out for my son. I will definitely recommend and hopefully be back for years to come. Top notch place!!

Best Tackle Shop Around. Bait, Tackle, and Information. Highly recommend coming in again and again. I’ve been in a few other Tackle shops in Venice and Nokomis and they had been the nicest and most helpful out of them all.

We went here to get my husband a fishing license. They don't sell them there but was told by employee Heather that they can be purchased online or Walmart. My husband wasn't one for purchasing the license directly from his phone but decided to when Heather offered to help. She absolutely went beyond taking the time to help him out. This store has a lot of fishing gear along with clothing merchandise. Stop in and check it out. Thanks Heather for all your help!!!

I have been a customer of Nokomis Beach Bait and Tackle for years. The store is loaded with tackle and has a great feel to it.. The owner Brian has always been knowledgeable, personable and attentive. He seems down to earth and I have never heard anything bad form the employees, and know they have been there for quite some time. Brian is always around the area fishing and easily accessible. I wish more small business owners were like him!

Great selection of rods and reels and tackle at a very affordable pricepoint. The owner is super knowledgeable and as nice as could be and gives honest, expert advice. Top quality live shrimp aswell. I will definitely be back!

Great Bait and Tackle shop with great service and Big Shrimp. We showed up there at like 630 and loaded up with shrimp. The parking lot is tight so you may want to park along the road. The Nokomis boat ramp is less than a mile away...

Love this place! If you need it it's there! Bait ice fishing gear and cover up for your bathing suit if you need it! Sunglasses and flip flops. Always a smile and help with the area if you need it as well.
