Amphora Nueva: Lafayette

My husband and I walked in with some friends not expecting to buy anything, we just thought it was cute and wanted to browse. The friendly employee gave us an informative tour of the shop and helped us try a few different infused oils and balsamic vinaigrettes. We ended up buying a few infused oils and a lemon infused white balsamic vinegar. I got the smallest sized bottles but now after having it with some bread, I wish I splurged on the biggest ones! My charcuterie game has officially maxed out thanks to Amphora Nuevo.

As soon as you walk into this beautiful shop all of your senses are delighted. The smell of ripe olives, the feel of the olive wood table, the cheerful greeting from the super nice owner, and then the taste of the amazing oils and vinegars! There is no other store like it. And if you know nothing about olive oil they are willing to help you in every way-find out what your taste is and then steer you towards the best product for you. Do not miss this experience. You can taste everything before buying it. And the prices are very reasonable for products of this quality!

So I've been coming here for 2 years now. The olive oil is absolutely delicious and more healthy than any other brand I've come across by such a large margin that it's dumbfounding anyone would buy anything else. Second, the balsamic vinegar selection is equally delicious and healthy and has a wide variety to keep your food interesting. As a health and fitness professional I've turned countless people on to this place so they can improve their life and they also rave about it! Finally, the staff are just incredible. Helpful, friendly etc. I can't recommend them highly enough.

The best olive oil and vinegar selection anywhere. The staff is so helpful and have great recipe suggestions. I think for the price this is a very good deal and you can bring your bottles back and have them refilled

Visited the store after the owner, Nate, gave a presentation at Roger's Ranch (as part of DVC's CULN-129: Introduction to Urban Farming: Farm-to-Table course); the variety of olive oils on offer puts paid to the idea that there's not only always more to know but also a world to explore (one would be at a loss not to explore - check it out!)…

Wonderful olive oils and balsamic vinegars. They have olive oil from different areas and tell you when each oil was pressed. They also have many infused oils and vinegars.
