I had the sausage crepe with a hot latte and it was all so excellent. The food is flavorful, locally sourced, and organic. I had the pleasure to meet Maria who told me her upbringing in the Andes mountains influenced the sustainable practices they use to minimize their environmental impact. They don't even use plastic trash bags! Eat here for reasonably priced food that is delicious, good for you, and good for the environment

Went to have breakfast with my Father and were greeted by a wonderful lady who happens to own the establishment. Great food, fresh ingredients. They bake bread and pastries in house. Very wonderful family owned business in the heart of Lafayette.

Had a delicious Grilled Chicken Garden Salad lunch today at The Rising Loafer. Ate outdoors on the patio. I appreciated the many available menu selections and for returning another time the breakfast menu looks very appealing. The couple that run this restaurant are very friendly, helpful, and prompt and it was a delight to talk with them a little and hear about the organic food they serve, their story, and their community involvement. This is definitely a place I'd like to return to many times. I dislike going to restaurants in Walnut Creek anymore (too much of a hassle, too much commotion), I find this place to be relaxing and pleasing along with a full menu, relaxed atmosphere, organic items, and more affordable pricing, so I'd rather come here. They deserve a top rating.

The food here is amazing!! All organic and natural ingredients and they make their pesto from scratch. The pesto crepe is a must-try, 10/10 recommend.

What a wonderful gem in Lafayette! The owners are hospitable and kind. The food was high-quality and delicious, especially the freshly-made bread. It’s not “fancy” but supporting this climate conscious, small-owned business is worthwhile.

Kind of easy to just breeze by and miss it but it's worth a stop. Had a delicious lunch, tuna sandwich, avocado sandwich and a shroom burger. The burger was juicy and tasty, avocado looked good and my kid ate up the tuna. The bread is very good. Nice mom and pop shop, very friendly. Just like the terminator.... I'll be back.

Lovely lady took my order. Excellent service. Patty melt was cooked perfectly. Coffee fresh. Fresh salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Excellent food.

We stopped in for the first time today and were very happy with our experience. Sean’s cup was great!
We’ll be back for breakfast next time we grocery shop.

Every time I come here, I leave with a smile, full belly, and warm heart. It is run by a husband and wife who share their culture through the way they prepare and serve food. Organic, all natural, made fresh on the daily. I’m obsessed with their raspberry balsamic dressing. Please give this lovely place a chance!

Crepes! Breakfast crepes, savory crepes, dessert crepes, all delicious. Greek crepe is particularly recommended. The staff is also extremely friendly, and there is a small outdoors seating area perfect for a quiet lunch.

Stopped in for a coffee and the aromas were so amazing I had breakfast. Great cafe reminds me of Paris. Friendly staff and great food. Flavorful coffee.

Their scones and muffins are made locally and they are just great, fresh and with such a good smell. Loved the blueberry scone and the banana muffin.

not enough stars. best breakfast/lunch in town. sweet restaurant in lafayette. close to trader joes and lafayette post office. fresh breads baked daily. everything fresh from scratch. support our wonderful hometown guys. they survived covid. try them out.

This place is great. The food is delicious and made with good quality ingredients. The owners/staff are extremely friendly. Can't believe I had not tried this place until recently.

Fresh food, great service, and zero environmental footprint! Maria hand picks the music which really made a difference. From tango to Abba, it made my experience very enjoyable and relaxing! I will be back!!

Their bread is the best. No additives or gimmicks, just pure fresh baked bread.

What a wonderful place. My eggs benedict were so delicious and it’s apparent that the owners are passionate about the food they serve. Look forward to coming again.
