Competition Bait & Tackle

I love this place! The staff are always friendly and helpful. The shiners are almost always bigger than I expect, always healthy. Nightcrawlers are fat and healthy. Very rare that they are out of shiners but it does happen. Getting back into traffic is the only downside here in my opinion.

Always friendly, knowledgeable and well stocked. The bait is always lively, given to you with cold, treated water that keeps your bait kickin' after you cast 'em in. That makes a MASSIVE difference in attracting bites! IMHO the best bait / tackle shop in Broward. Shiners, shrimps, crabs, worms...find it all right here...oh and they also repair gear too. What else would ya want??

I’ve tried a couple different bait shops in the surrounding areas, this shop has the biggest and healthiest shiners no doubt. Super friendly every time I come in.

The best Bait & Tackle store ever! I took my 6 year old Son there and the staff was so knowledgeable and friendly. He has been catching bass in our back yard for years and loves fishing. He was in a magazine with one of his fish, we took the picture in to show them and when we bought bait they gave him extra bait for free because they realized how much he loves fishing. The store is very clean and doesn't smell. I would recommend them to any avid angler.

Best Bait Shop around by far. Owner is wicked nice guy, and is actually honest. Has the best shiners around by far, and if there small he actually tells you. Glad I found the place.

Super Friendly owner and staff. Very knowledgable and they offer great advice. This bait and tackle shop has all of the basic tackle that you need for Salt and Fresh water fishing. On the bait menu are Live Shiners, Pilchards, Shrimp, Worms... All lively and available if you swing by and catch them before they sell out. Call ahead to check availability of stock. I just moved locally and purchased a new boat. Went to many other local tackle stores and they do not compare. Gary and Ash not only carry nothing but the best tackle, equipment and the freshest bait. They are very knowledgable and also very nice people. I wish there were more tackle shops like this around. They seem to have everything. I always go for the live bait and frozen squid. Thanks to this place I was able to find 6 battery operated aerators and batteries to save my aquariums during the 4 day power outage of Irma. They were open with supplies right up to the storm. Appreciate the ample supply of batteries.

Don and Barbara run a first class operation. They always have time and information to give to the novice fisherman and they also have a dedicated following of expert anglers. They always have accurate, first hand, fishing reports. The store is neat, clean and has lots of great rods and reels on display, a ton of tackle and any type bait you want!

Great bait! I don't know what he does to his live bait, but they live longer (days) then the bait i get at other bait shops.

I've been here a few times and they have always been very nice and also share hints and tips. Good pricing on goods as well. Will definitely be going back often.

I stop buy with my boys at least 3 times a month to get shiners. My son is always excited with the size of the shiners and thoughts of the monster that he is going to catch. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I just want to say This place has been a life saver went in with a real missing back screw and the gentleman at the counter and behind the counter was amazing and Assisted us immediately and are super friendly..

I had an opportunity to meet the owner and chat with him super cool and nice person, every time I needed bait they always have what I am looking for.

Awesome gear, bait, service. I stopped going everywhere else once I found out about competition tackle, they don't sham you, and they always have what I need. Its the only place to go.

Small but I agree with the other folks, they have everything you need for catch your fish. Definitely coming back soon for live bait.
