This place, these folks are very knowledgeable!! Screens,glass,paint,supplies, gloves, keys, masks,tools... .I can go on and on, price point!! suffice to say beats the competition in every way by a long shot! Did I say my tomato plants and pepper plants are kicking out an awesome harvest! Barnum hardware in stratford!

I love this hardware store. I definitely support business owners in my local town. The owner and his employees are very down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Also easy to talk to you. I definitely recommend if your doing any improvement or repair projects. They also cut keys if your in need.

The best place to have the keys made they have everything you want is better than home Depot

It’s my local store that I go to whenever I need something for projects around my house. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Excellent store. You have a question you can call them. Their associate are a wealth of knowledge and you wont wait forever to talk to someone unlike big box home improvement stores. Personalized service and always helpful and friendly. They have a large inventory but if theyre out of stock they will gladly suggest a competitor. Great store, great service and great people.

FAR and away more reasonable than Ring’s End and others as far as paint and product goes. Barnum is worth going ever slightly out further out of your way for your hardware/household needs. If you're looking for a REAL hardware store where the employees go over the top to help you, then you've found it! I brought in our screen door from our sliding glass door. The place was packed. I waited perhaps 5 minutes but learned a lot while there. The customer service is amazing and if one employee isn't sure another one is right there to help. I first took my screen door to Home Disaster and the guy wouldn't even get up out of his chair to help. I then found out about Barnum Hardware. What a delightful difference! When you walk into the store, the floor has the old time wooden floor creeking a sure sign that you've found the absolute best place! No more big box for us! They'll never be able to compete with Barnum Hardware!

I went to Barnum Hardware to order some kitchen cabinets. What i received was not only quality cabinets but they were at very competitive price, compared to Home Depot and Express Kitchen. The owner was very knowledgable and helpful. I highly recommend Barnum Hardware if you're in the market for quality cabinets, knowledgable staff and great service.

Had two kwikset locks and a lock from 1955. They were able to key them all alike, and make a master key to open only the 1955 one :-) Experts in what they do and definitely worth the trip!

Can't speak of how great their service is. They have everything and is so much better than the big box stores Ecspecially when your in a rush... Recommend everyone to shop here...
