Such a fun and lovable place! Great for all ages. I love how it is kid friendly as well as kid at heart friendly. Being able to have BYOB is awesome. Games are in rotation so you never get stuck playing the same games. Everyone there is super knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are fair when buying used items. You can play here for free and donations are welcomed for it! Love you Steph and Eric!

Save Point has some great arcade games set to free play. The Tempest seems like it's it's brand new. They also have lots of classic console games and some are incredibly rare. Staff are friendly too. Definitely worth driving out of your way if you're into retro gaming.

I admittedly don't go here for retro games, but if you are interested, they do have a giant collection.
I came here for the rhythm games, which honestly, if I lived closer, I'd never go to Round1 again. It is a lot calmer, a lot more relaxing, and games that you typically don't find at Round1, especially the Towson one.
Staff are very nice, and they clearly know what they're talking about. All of them are passionate and fun to be around, and I was able to enjoy a nice Easter here (they were open on Easter).
If you have the spare money, please donate to their tip jar. There aren't many places like this left in the world, and they deserve to be treasured.

All games were completely free just as described! Staff was extremely nice and we were even compensated for the fact that the machine we drove in to play-- Taiko no Tatsujin -- was currently being repaired after it had gotten beaten up at a recent convention.
Stephanie was extremely nice and was not only great company, but very helpful and knowledgeable in answering all of our questions about various retro/limited items that were behind the counter.
I was able to play Groove Coaster for hours straight with little to no interruption. The volume was perfect, and the machine was in very good condition. In fact, as far as I could see, all of the machines they had currently out for use were in excellent condition.
Save Point had an impressively large selection of different games, more than other "small business" arcades I've been to in the past, and all completely for free. Hearing about the different machines they possessed even more of in storage only impressed me further.
The place is spacious, but not too crowded, and in fact, it's quite pleasing to know how many of the games I had to myself.
Overall, it was just a fantastic experience. We did drive a little over 4 hours just to go here-- but I am happy to say that it was 100 percent worth it and more.
I would definitely make the 4 hour drive just to come here again in the future.
I have nothing but compliments for Save Point! I highly recommend going here!
(PS: This place is funded completely by donations, so I highly recommend donating if you have a chance! It's definitely worth it!)

Our Simpson's pinball machine developed issues after moving to our new house. The machine is 30 years old.
We contacted Save Point and from the get-go, had a positive experience from initial conversation, first visit, and final outcome.
Eric first came out for the initial assessment and the price for 1 hour was very reasonable. He diagnosed the problem and had to order parts.
With such an old pinball machine, several visits were required as the move of the machine damaged multiple components (transistors, coils, etc.).
Steph completed the repairs and was very tenacious, solving the final problem after doing lot's of research.
I highly recommend Save Point to owners of machines who are concerned how much they cost to repair. Save Point was extremely reasonable and just great people to deal with.

Save point is the best retro video game shop and arcade. There isn't a shop anywhere in the mid-atlantic here that has such a wide variety of retro video games and consoles. I'd even venture to say they're of the the best retro game repair shops I've seen PERIOD, rivaling like the best-of-the-best more specific repair shops like around the world that you have to spend a fortune shipping things to. All their staff is insanely knowledgeable and really knows their stuff, even the amazingly obscure consoles they always miraculously have in stock. Definitely stop on in and play their amazing arcade and pinball games and check out one of the best selection of retro video games you can find anywhere.

A great video game store with a wonderful freeplay arcade as well. When I went there had an excellent stock of video games along with some rare consoles. I played on the Taiko cabinet but felt that the drum wasn't sensitive enough to my inputs.

I came on a Sunday and was able to park on the street infront of the store. Normally you have to pay for parking but on Sunday it is free.

There is no public bathroom but there is a restaurant up the street that it is recommended that you purchase something before using the bathroom. Alternatively you can head down to "Flood Zone" and there is a public bathroom inside that you don't need to pay for. I would recommend driving to Flood Zone as it is a bit of a walk.

I also highly recommend donating some money if you plan on going to help keep the arcade up and running!

Stopped in here for the first time today, and was so impressed! They have an incredible selection of games, very organized, and great pricing. So many things in great condition, and I love that they even have some obscure that I’ve never seen anywhere! The people there are so friendly, and so knowledgeable! They are working on expanding, which I’m incredibly excited for. They also have free to play games of many varieties, so something for everyone (fighting style, Neo Geo, some fun Japanese games, pinball machines). Totally worth the drive to spend a good chunk of time there, feel some nostalgia, and walk away with some treasures! ❤

In the sleepy little town of Union Bridge sits a store, a retro game store mashed together with a free to play arcade.

Save Point.

The outside seems innocuous enough, with the store's logo greeting you and the window granting you a peek of shelves lined with games from varying generations with a couple gaming trinkets sitting on the window sill. Just a run of the mill used game store, you may think prior to stepping inside.

And, well, yes. It definitely *is* a retro gaming store. But that doesn't do the selection justice. While the inside isn't massive, what's available is and encompasses far, *far* more than you'd expect. Games, accessories and consoles alike, there's so much to take in and really appreciate and cherish. I won't go so far as to say that they'll have everything in the world in stock but at the very least, there are multiple surprises you can expect to see.

If the retro store was the only thing Save Point had going for it, I'd say it's nice store and worth using if you're ever in the area. But Save Point manages to go a step further and provides a reason to actively visit, even if you're not particularly close by. After all, I haven't touched on the arcade yet.

The arcade, which is indeed free to play and donation based, mostly runs out of the back of the store, with a couple exceptions in the front. I've only been able to visit a few times but the selection rotates, with various pinball, stand up cabinets and rhythm games filtering in and out. I should note that are some particularly rare and obscure things occasionally on offer and if you want a chance to experience those games this is one of the only places you can, period. I'm not the biggest Taiko fan out there (Chunithm for me, please), but just know that Save Point has one of the only Taiko cabinets available in the US. Savor it. And please, consider donating.

To wrap things up, this place is a gem hidden away in Union Bridge. Whether you have a hobby in retro and used games or are looking for an arcade to spend some time at, I highly recommend taking a trip out to Save Point.

The couple who runs this shop are very knowledgeable regarding games of any era, and change some of the arcade games around! I always find something new (to me) when I am there. I definitely recommend checking this store out, even if you come from out of state (like me)!

Great place to find and play some games. Everyone is very friendly. This is my kids favorite store to stop by after dinner. They all are really friendly to our kids and always making them feel welcome with smiles.

Fantastic shop full of retro games to purchase and arcade games to play for free! I am a big fan of their Japanese arcade games (Groove Coaster/Pop'n Music), and you can even purchase e-amusement and nesica cards to save your data! Very friendly and helpful staff as well. You can't find many places like this around with actual arcade games, definitely worth your time checking out!

The pictures of this place look awesome and clean. I'm totally checking it out this weekend!! I'll update you all.

Update: I went there today. They were knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, and beyond patient. Even though we asked to see multiple (and I mean MULTIPLE) items, they were pleasant and kind. If you're looking for any retro consoles/games, or to play some awesome arcade games, definitely check it out!

My girlfriend and I wanted to check out this store and play some arcade games. It's free-to-play and donations are accepted, so you know we had to try it! Anyway, they had such great products for reasonable prices that I just had to buy some stuff and support the store. I would recommend them. Clean store, good people, great prices... 👍

Free pinball and rhythm games!! Current pinball tables include Black Knight 2000, Swords of Fury, Godzilla, and Primus. Unfortunately Primus wasn’t in working order, but the other tables were perfect — clean, responsive, and fun. And free! I’m more into pinball, but the rhythm games are fantastic. Super fun and interesting. Favorites for me were the jubeat and Sound Voltex cabinets. Okay, so, aside from the free games, they have great mix of retro gaming (mainly) and computing games, accessories, books, etc. at reasonable prices. Staff was super helpful and accommodating as well! It was well worth the drive!

Excellent, experience had alot of amazing games at excellent prices and a free arcade, section that you can tip to help expand. We need more stores like this one in this area. If your looking for quality over quantity in terms of purchases then look no further. Beats gamestop at every turn. Don't sleep on this place well worth the visit.

This store is great. They have almost everything I could need. I got a Nintendo 64 from here and it works great. The games have all been good quality too. Definitely need to check this store out if you’re into retro games.

The best, I repeat, THE BEST customer service you will ever get at a video game store. The wonderful people that work here, are knowledgeable and friendly. Will never step foot in another video game store again.
