Spices Hut Cary

I shop here weekly for mainly fresh vegetables and fresh dosa or idli batter. The prices are less than the Indian store closer to my house.
I have never had to return a product but then I
check the veggies as I bag them. They have always been really friendly to me when I come in. I stop for fresh samosas on occasion but it would be nice to pay for everything in one transaction.

Good sized Indian grocery store, got a lot of variety and options. My go to place for vegetables and goat meat. Goat meat here is the best around cary and apex area. Love the cafeteria, we go their for the evening snacks. Their samosa, bonda with the ginger and peanut chutney is a great combo.

I find all my groceries here. This is my first visit to this store. Everything is organized and clean.

This review was long overdue. This place is like a lifeline here in Cary for Indian groceries. Its at a walking distance and everything is stocked well. Special mention about Mr Ramesh Gandhamaneni who actually took the time to respond to my email about a coffee brand we liked back in Cali and requested him to get it to the store. He actually made it happen.. and that is a fine example of exceptional customer service!

This place is growing day by day with the products they offer. They have fresh vegetables, Indian groceries, a meat store, fresh cooked Indian curries, snacks and the list goes on. The meat is cut fresh in front of you. They have chai available most of the day. I have more than one reason to come here.

This is the best place to eat Indian food in the entire rtp. People might not take the ambience for a restaurant but trust me the convenience makes it up even better than a restaurant.

Over the period I tasted at least 50 percent of their dishes and maybe only one of the dish disappointed. Rest all were excellent. More than the taste I think they being fresh makes all the difference.

We tried the following so far
1) Pessarotu with upma in the morning hours ( moong dal creepe with some semolina porridge) - this is the best so far I had in any restaurant in rtp so far

2) idli ( rice cakes). I think this is a safe bet anytime and it's available anytime. Sometime I go in the evening after a hectic day to wind down where I won't have time to eat lunch. It doubles up as my go-to food.

3) samosa(dough filled with mashed potato), punugulu(fried dough made from black gram and rice better) in the evening

4) masala tea( I think I got addicted to the tea here , so much so that I don't even like the one we make at home nor in any other place

I will try to post photos next time as usually we just devovour the moment we get the food

Best instance yet of the true integration of the Indian community into RTP. Fine small cafe for breakfast, especially on weekends. Unique selection of staples, especially beans and grains.

Great collection of Grocery, Food and Beverages. Neat and clean, well organized. One of the best Indian Grocery Store in the area. They have a food court on site, which serves ready-to-eat food items and delicious treats. Fresh Halal meat also available there. Our go-to-shop for Indian grocery and meat.

I would give this place a 5-star rating only because of my interactions with Viswanathan at the counter. I've interacted with him even prior at the Morrisville Spices Hut. His experience with store management couple with stellar customer service skills always ensures a positive experience when I visit the store. He is friendly to greet customers in multiple languages and makes every effort to ensure shoppers have a frictionless visit. Thank you!

Needless to mention, their live food counter serves delicious snacks and food. One of the best mirchi bhajji (chilli fritters) around the area.

A great place to shop indian groceries. I went there on the opening day and found the place to be very spacious and full of various indian groceries as well as vegetables and fruits. A great addition to the neighborhood.

They sell country chicken in the meat shop. I went there first time to get that. Ended up buying a lot of things that's not planned :). Pastries are good, prepared food shop has a good collection of varieties, I like the chicken 65 (with a lot of fennel seeds) . Great shopping experience, not crowded, easy to navigate among multiple different aisles.

This is my go to place for Indian grocery. The parking lot can get a bit crowded, but otherwise the store itself is spacious and nice.

If you're looking for a convenient place to buy Indian groceries, Spice Hut Grocery Store and Supermarket is the perfect spot. They offer a wide range of products and provide a great shopping experience. Additionally, the store has a mini food court with affordable and delicious options. One of the standout employees is Mr. Vishwanath, who works at the cash register. He's friendly, energetic, and always willing to assist customers. On top of that, he speaks several languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, and many more. You can easily spot him at the busiest cash register, where customers often approach him for a chat or to ask for information about services and events.

I am from Greenville,NC (100 miles away from Car,NC) used to go Cary,NC just for Indian groceries and Veggies.

I got every thing what need from this store like rice , groceries, vegetables and fruits. Best part is sugarcane juice - real awesome.
Staffs are real nice especially Mr.Viswanath such a helping person and friendly. Though he is busy with other stuff - he invites people with smile , answering questions and helping us in case not able to find stuff. Also he is careful when billing (lol). Really an asset to
spice hut to have such a person.

I love their cafe section. They have a great collection of indian pastries which is my favorite. The groceries and meat section has almost everything needed for an Indian household.

Number 1 Indian grocery store around this area and they had all kind of asian products. I felt amazing because they had a food court in one side of the store. It’s a big mart with helpful staff and checkout was very smooth

This is largest Indian Grocery store in this area. The aisles are wider which makes navigating much easier compared to other Indian stores. Store Manager organized this store very well. She makes sure that all available products are stocked up regularly and maintains this store very well.

Excellent store with wide range of selections and good customer service by all.

On the pricing, they could look at reducing for some items that can help all to continue visit here compared to other store. Food court is a big plus, however I would let the management look at pricing, quality and service in that section - there are definitely room for improvements.

My 5 star rating is on the customer service, they actually do a great job. If I do not know where a particular spice variety or product is placed, even the members from the loading/unloading crew, will try to help direct or provide suggestions/alternative product. These are members who are not from India and still knows about our traditional spices that even some of us will not know. Great customer service in that sense and I would definitely call out "Vish or Viswanath ?" in the cashier counter. He goes above and beyond - He is dedicated and passionate about serving each customer in a unique and engaging way. Especially, he does that every time - with a warm welcoming smile that keeps us returning back to Spices Hut for our grocery needs for sure.

Very clean and nice store. Most of Indian groceries are available. I always shop for Indian groceries only in this store since it opened. A short lady, likey gujarati manages this store and is always helpful when trying to find a grocery item. Also, this lady always regularly checks the store not only for inventory, but also many maintenance related things all while helping others and always smiling
